This One Of A Kind 2007 Mercedes Benz SL65 AMG V12 Bi-Turbo Roadster features a FULL $30,000 MEGA WIDEBODY CONVERSION & A FULL $20,000 SLR MCLAREN FRONT NOSE CONVERSION! The original cost of the car + the conversion was in the $250,000 range! This is probably the ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD! I have never seen or heard of (even after searching the internet) another SL65 with DOUBLE CONVERSIONS FRONT & REAR! This is the kind of vehicle only a Saudi Prince or a rock star could ever afford. There will never be another chance to own a machine like this one! This SL65 has only had three owners since it was sold new in 2007. (1) The first owner purchased this Mercedes new in the South Hampton, NY area and owned it from 2007-2010 where it was always garage kept & dealer maintained. In 2010 it was involved in what would normally be considered a minor accident (where you get bumped from behind at a stop light and also get pushed into the car in front of you). On most cars this would be no big deal, but because the cost of body panels & labor on these cars is so out of sight and because the man who wrote a near $200,000 check for this car demanded it, the insurance company paid out the claim in full (2) The second owner purchased this car from an exotic car dealership that specializes in insurance claim cars and he is the one who sent the car to a conversion specialist in Florida to turn this SL65 into the machine you see today! He spent in excess of $50,000 doing a full front / rear wide body & SLR conversion. He then spent another $10,000 on a set of custom built Maya deep dish / chrome plated / ultra wide / lightweight alloy wheels! He owned the car for approximately six years from 2010-2016. (3) Finally the third owner from North Carolina owned this SL65 from 2016 until now only driving it a few thousand miles in that time. Apparently he fulfilled his dream of owning an SL65 and recently traded it towards a near new Range Rover Supercharged. This SL65 is finished Black Opal Metallic with matching Grey Nappa Leather Interior. We have tested all of the power features and everything seems to be in good working order. Yes, the power windows, locks, mirrors, seats, convertible top, climate control, keyless go, remote key, cruise control, stereo, lights, wipers, etc. all work great! (Note: The SRS light is on, probably a sensor. Also the tire pressure light is on because there is no way to get a consistent air pressure reading on such wide & large tires.) We have also road tested this SL65 and OH MY…. THIS CAR IS F A S T !!! This Mercedes does everything right! It starts right up, has a very mean sounding AMG “Ferrari like” exhaust note, and accelerates like a “bat out of hell”. With over 600HP and over 700 lb-ft torque the power & acceleration is virtually endless! The exterior is in excellent condition. The Black Opal Metallic paint is clean and has a fantastic luster to it as you can see in all of the pictures included in this listing. There are no dents to speak of at all on this Mercedes Benz. The bumpers, glass, lenses, etc. all look great too. The custom Maya alloy wheels look AMAZING as you can see in the pictures, they truly are a work of art and are riding on 2 Continental Tires to the front (very good condition) and 2 Delinte Tires to the rear (brand new, just installed). Absolutely stunning with the top up or down! The interior is also in excellent condition. The soft Nappa Leather seats look & feel great. Not only are the seats finished in genuine leather, but so are the door panels, dash, and center console. The headliner & pillar panels are finished in matching genuine Alcantara suede as well. The dash is clean with no stress cracks either. The factory burl wood trim really enhances the interior quite nicely. The carpets & original AMG floor mats all look nice too. A must see! We just spent nearly $2,000 servicing this Mercedes in our shop to include New Front AMG Brembo Brake Pads & Rotors, a Fresh Oil & Filter Service with the correct OEM oil, and New Rear Z Rated Sport Tires as well! Included with purchase are a set of owners books, case, one remote key, first aid kit, and AMG floor mat set. The Carfax report is included in this listing and the clean & clear title is in our office ready to go for the new owner! Though this Mercedes has a previous salvage/rebuilt title insurance claim dating back 8 years to 2010 (see Carfax report for more details) it no longer shows on the title paperwork. Of course if you are the winner of the auction you are always welcome to look over the car, test drive it, and make sure you are happy with it before taking delivery. (7) Do you end auctions early? We reserve the right to end any auction early should we deem it necessary. However this is quite rare and occurs in less than 2% of all listings. But occasionally we do have to end an auction early because we made an error in the vehicles description or have a title issue. Seller also reserves the right to end an auction early if an acceptable retail offer is accepted before the close of the auction. Furthermore any bid retractions within the last half of the remainder of the auction are subject to be ended early at our discretion. We further reserve the right to refuse the sale of any vehicle to any bidder or buyer at our discretion should we deem it necessary. (8) What are the technical legal terms? All buyers will be required to sign an arbitration agreement with the dealership. Should a legal issue arise both parties agree to settle their issues via arbitration in Henrico County, Virginia. However should further legal issues arise that can not be settled by arbitration (such as debt collection) the venue for any legal action such as claims, motions, litigation, settlements, or other legal action associated with this sale is to take place in the State of Virginia in the Henrico County Courthouse. Should debt collection be necessary buyer agrees to pay 1 ½ % interest per month or an annual rate of 18% until the debt is collected and paid in full. Should the vehicle need to be repossessed the buyer will be responsible for all costs associated with recovering the vehicle and the buyer will also be responsible for any damages to the vehicle. By entering into this contract the bidder warrants that they are at least 18 years of age and are financially capable of completing this purchase. (9) How do I pay for the vehicle? We collect a $250 non-refundable deposit via Paypal at the close of the auction. The balance is to be paid via cash is person, bank wire transfer, or bank cashiers check. We do not accept Paypal for the full purchase price. Nor do we accept personal checks, bank drafts, credit cards, credit card checks, money orders, crypto currency, coinage over $5, escro services, or any other payment not expressly listed. (10) Are there any other fees? We do not collect any sales tax from any buyers regardless of which state you reside in. You will be responsible for sales tax in your home state upon registering the vehicle. We do charge a small $95 fee (to all buyers including dealers) to help cover the cost of the gross receipt inventory business tax, temporary tags, copies, faxes, postage, and USPS 2-3 day mail service of documents. (11) Do you require a deposit from me? We require that a deposit be made to secure the transaction by the end of the next business day on each vehicle purchased. For example, this means that if you win the auction for any given vehicle at 10PM (ET) on a Monday night then the $250 deposit is due by 5PM (ET) the following evening (Tuesday). The deposit is to be made via PayPal only. Should any buyer fail to make this deposit by 5PM (ET) we reserve the right to offer or sell the vehicle to another bidder or buyer as we deem necessary. Also should the buyer fail to make this deposit or make other arrangements with us by 5PM (ET) we reserve the right to cancel the transaction. If a buyer pays the deposit, but does not complete the transaction for ANY reason, then the deposit is non-refundable and becomes the property of The Car Man Co., LLC. (12) Can The Car Man Company arrange financing for me or take my trade in? We do not offer ANY financing through the dealership. Please have all loan and financing arrangements in place before you bid. Also we do not accept trade ins on our auction sales due to the limitations of the auction process. (13) Do I need insurance? Once the vehicle is paid for in full insurance is required from the buyer. We do not insure the vehicle after payment is made in full. This is especially important if your vehicle is being transported via car carrier. Please make sure you have proper coverage once you pay in full for the vehicle. (14) How does shipping work? Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. However sometime we offer an advertised promotion to include discounted shipping to buyers. In those cases we will make all the necessary arrangements. Shipping will be “open carrier” and does not include any insurance. (15) What happens after I win the auction? At the close of the auction you will receive an eBay message from eBay letting you know you have won the auction. We will also send you an eBay message with further instructions and contact information. (16) When can I pick up my vehicle? If you are planning to pick up the vehicle in person, these are the hours we are open for eBay deliveries: Monday-Saturday (10am-6pm ET). We are closed on Sunday, and all National Holidays. We require 24 hours notice so we may prepare the vehicle and the paperwork for delivery. (17) Finally, can you give me a brief overview of the whole process? Its pretty basic actually. If you come in person we will do all the paperwork in person at the dealership. It does not take very long and you will be back on the road in as little as 30 minutes! If you choose to ship the vehicle it is only slightly different. We will USPS you a full set of paperwork, sign both copies of all forms and just send it back in the included USPS pre-paid envelope. Once we receive it back we will keep our copies and send you back your copies as well as the vehicle title & temporary tags via USPS. Please keep in mind the vehicle can not leave our dealership until the vehicle is paid for AND all of the signed paperwork has been received back by us.
