Vehicle Detail
Rebuilt generator, new voltage regulator, changed the oil in the front and the differential, changed the plugs, fuel filter, and the oil filter. Preserved the original fuel tank with a Por15 fuel tank restoration kit and purged all of the lines, as well as fully coated with undercoating top and bottom and replaced the vent hose for it was as hard as a rock, so, the fuel filter shows crystal clear fuel going to the carburetor. drives like a brand new car. All original. Just drove it up to Disney world and back from Ft. Lauderdale with the family. Lots of looks. I wish they built cars that would last this long again. It'll drive to Alaska and back. Very stable and the engine has great pick up for the weight that it has to pull as advertised in '57. The tires are poly glass so, though it might look cool, it doesn't drive like a car with steel belted radials so the soft effect isn't there. It's kind of like a pick up truck ride. Includes patches for the left front fender and the right rear quarter as well as the original wheel skirts still wrapped in plastic. All of the lights work except for the right headlight which burnt out on the way back from Orlando, so, we just had the high beams on for the rest of the way. The floor is in great shape though, it could used body replacement on about three of the mounts. The car is currently in Hollywood, FL and I know a car transport person who will ship it dirt cheap. Personnaly, I'd just drive it to you destination to save the money and enjoy the ride.
