FOR SALE: ORIGINAL OWNER 1996 GRAND CARAVAN $900 Reserve Price! -- Super awesome original owner Grand Caravan for sale. Well maintained mostly long-distance highway miles. Senior-citizen owned for entire life. Always garaged. Passed most recent inspection 7/16 with no issues. Clear title with no issues. Van drives great -- just brought it down to Stamford, CT from Plymouth, MA (200 miles) and it drove great. Nice and smooth on the highway and pulls strong. No shimmies or rattles. To be clear, it is a 21 year old minivan, with its share of nicks, dings, stains etc. but overall it's in pretty good shape. I suspect it has a lot of life left in it and it'll make a great vehicle for a family on a budget, a student, or anyone else in need of affordable three row seating! I'm selling this on behalf of my aging snowbird parents -- title is already signed and in hand. Plus, I I know the vehicle's history well - even helped them buy it in 1996. Most of the mileage was incurred during the early portion of this minivan's life when it was used to shuttle back and forth between private garages in Manhattan and Cape Cod. For the last dozen or so years it served as a second run around vehicle in Cape Cod incurring very little mileage while being fully maintained. During winters it would sit inside a modern garage being driven only about once a month to keep the battery charged - no nasty snow or salt. Always starts right up, no hesitation, no big cloud of smoke etc. APPEARANCE: Looks pretty good, has a few dings and a bit of "garage rash" but nothing major. No significant accidents. Overall pretty unmolested. Interior is great -- floor mats are a little beat up but all the plastic and rubber seems fine. No dash cracks, no rips or tears in seats, headliner looks good, etc. Very good shape for its age. MECHANICAL: Engine is all stock with working cold A/C and a new battery last year. Tires are in excellent shape with a lot of life, all the buttons and switches seem to work. I really can't find anything obviously wrong with it. Lights, wipers, power windows, seats etc., everything works. Even the stock Infinity stereo sounds just like it always did. The windshield has a minor rock ding on the passenger side and a bit of tape has been applied around the exterior glass on the bottom where a rubber seal was getting crusty. Paint looks good, still has a nice deep look to it. FUNCTIONALITY: This van is from back in the day when the second row had only a left and center seat -- making for very easy entry to the third row (unlike my current Honda Odyssey where you have to slide a middle seat forward and contort yourself to access the third row). Lots of little storage compartments & cup holders. Third row seat is removable making for cavernous cargo capacity. Fuel consumption is great and requires only regular gas.
