Vehicle Detail

I'm relisting my '59 El camino in hopes of moving it, with one final price reduction. I found a road runner that I want to buy. This is below what I would like to get for the car, and the wheels are included at this price. Get it now before I relist it in the spring for more $. 1959 Chevrolet El camino -Clean title- Car is originally from Kansas... sold new with snowcrest white exterior and the standard el camino grey interior. Likely a 6 or 283 small-block, 3 on the tree car from the factory. This car will fire up and run, it will go through the gears, drive and stop..previous owner drove it locally to swap meets but I'd recommend some TLC before any serious drive time The car has been sitting the last couple months so I am selling it as a "non running" project! Clutch is currently very stiff to operate.Straight six engine, 4 speed manual transmission, Complete car, has all the trim & chrome.Needs floor pan work, metal/body work, general restoration,etc... or you could cruise it rat rod style! Body- Car is in primer currently has some battle scars/dents and of course needs some bodywork.New reproduction front floor pans are in place and need finished up, rear pans & rockers have had some previous work and could use some attention. It could use lower quarter patches, as it has mud in very bottom of the quarters. Roof is nice & straight, rear overhang is solid! Doors are solid, the bottoms are not all rotted through. Front clip sheet metal is solid, & workable. Valence pieces under the bumpers are in poor shape.Frame is solid, it has had two patches previously welded in (pictured) Solid work done. There is another two areas near the rear axle & bumper that still need patched up. Trim- All trim is present, although some side moldings have been screwed through (on fenders/doors)...trim around the bed is beat up as per usual on these 59's. The car has the optional impala grill guard. -Engine is a straight six, electronic ignition, manual choke. Single pipe out the side.I was told it was out of a 70's nova. It's a running engine but should really be replaced with a sbc or big block chevy for this car to have justice.. Glass is all good except pass. side vent window and the dr. door glass has a crack. Interior- Missing door cards & headliner, dash is all original, original radio, bench seat, 4sp on the floor. Wheels: Currently has a nearly new set of american racing torq thrust wheels. New tires, fronts rims are 15x4.5, rears are 15x8...this whole package new was around $1400 in wheels, lugs, center caps, & tires. Extra parts: I have a hood, rear bumper, misc trim parts. The important thing is I have a set of replacement moldings for all the damaged ones on the car...two door pcs and both fender spears..in good shape and I'll include if the buy it now is met. This el camino would make a great gasser project, rat rod, restoration candidate etc.Or you could drive it as is with some tlc & resto work. It's a head turner / time machine with great potential, as there is nothing like a first year elco! Not then, not now! Car is located in Central Ohio and also for sale locally.I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for a local sale (prefered) I highly suggest an in-person inspection, naturally it's an 1959 and has normal old car issues..buyers should have some knowledge on older cars and understand what a project car is! Interested and serious people are encouraged to ask any questions. Non-refundable deposit of $1000 due within 48hrs of auction end.Full payment is expected within two weeks.Buyer is responsible for any shipping. -DO NOT bid- unless you have the funds currently available and are a serious buyer, no dreamers or payment plan clowns. Do not bid if you have no feedback, if you have zero feedback I will cancel your bid unless you contact me beforehand. I have already had to deal with flakers...Car is a vintage project vehicle and therefore sold as is, with absolutely no warranty or garentee.
