Vehicle Detail

Note: I will be adding photos over the next couple of days, so check back if you dont see what you're looking for... This is a 1959 Buick Electra hard top coupe that I purchased in West Virginia in 2016. I am selling due to some health issues and cannot reasonably commit to restoration at this time. Will make an excellent driver. It has some real potential for the person who has the right space and tools. All reasonable offers considered. I am available to show the car to serious prospective buyers and am happy to provide photos and answer any questions. Just ask! My reserve is modest and I am realistic about its current value. The Good:Runs strong and recently had a tune up and oil change. It is complete (although some trim is currently off of the car.) Original color paint, but was resprayed at some point.Titled and registered free and clear in my nameOlder restorationBody is in excellent shape, overall. Floors are solidInterior is in excellent shape, except for carpet which I pulled out since it was musty and dry rotted. The Bad:Does not currently brakeRust - Mostly trunk pan (which I have patch panel for) and inner rockers. A couple of small bubbles starting to show near top passenger fender well and a thin line on the bottom of driver's side door.Rear bumper looks to have been in some sort of mishap and is bent, but could easily be worked out by a good body shop. Bumper pushed in the panel slightly.)There is an old repair to the frame (passenger side) along with some scale rust (driver side) all in the rear, just forward of fender wells. Not sure of the story behind this because it was purchased in an estate situation. It is my opinion that it is reinforcement for rust judging by the scaling of rust on the opposite side, same area. Maybe sat in the weeds and grass for a while? The reverse light housings are toast! They were so rotted (as they tend to do) and crumbled. Nevertheless, I still have what is left.Currently garaged and all tires are holding air. Will roll onto trailer with no problems. Vehicle dimmensions are as follows: Wheelbase:126.3 in.Length: 220.9 in.Width: 80.7 in.Height: 55.9 in. Curb Weight: 4,700 lbs. Thank you for your interest. On Nov-11-17 at 06:10:39 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE: As promised, I will be adding some more photos today. Here is what I have so far. Getting a few more here in a couple hours. Also, I have received a lot of interest and (really decent) questions and I would like to share a few things that were adressed... - There was a "Buy It Now", but once the reserve was met it went away automatically per eBay. It was $5,899.99, but based on the offers I received, I think those of you who had inquired about wanting to purchase the car in that manner might actually be better off just bidding (it might save you some money!) Here are my responses to questions: "The car is original, except for the ignition and the exhaust. I believe the brakes do not work due to the brittle rubber brake hoses. They are cracked. I have inspected the front brakes and they look sound, but I just haven’t had time to get them going. The finned aluminum drums are there and in good condition. The parking brake cables were cut or corroded when I purchased, so those are needed." "The wheel covers were not present when I purchased the car. It did come with trim rings, however. The stainless is in fair condition. There are no deep dings and would polish up well. The deck lid stainless trim is a little torn up around the trunk lock and someone obviously needed in the trunk and did not have a key. The trunk lock is gone. The spotlights are pretty pitted and are aftermarket dummies, but yes, they do look pretty neat, especially since the prior owner seemed to have been in a lot of police/local law enforcement organizations (old decals on glass)."On Nov-11-17 at 09:44:21 PST, seller added the following information: Alright. I have uploaded the last photos that I thought would be of interest regarding condition. If anyone has anything in particular they want to see, just let me know.
