This is a non-turbo model. Car runs, drives and shifts great. This car was a garage find, and has not been driven in over 5 years until I purchased it. I did some repairs to get it roadworthy. I have been recently driving it around Orlando locally as a daily driver, and no mechanical issues. Starts, runs, shifts and drives great. Overall, car is nice and straight, paintwork is good, but not a show car. This being said, I am going to offer it as a restoration project. This IS NOT a parts car, just due to its overall condition, both cosmetically and how good it runs. SOLD AS-IS, AS STATED with NO warranty, returns or exchanges. Clean title. Color is midnight blue with blue tex interior. No sunroof. 5 cyl automatic. Car description- Has the rare, desirable and bullet proof OM617 NON TURBO engine, which is much more reliable that its turbocharged counterpart coupled to a 4 speed euro spec automatic transmission. I have been getting aprox. 40+ mpg in the city (according to the mileage log on my GPS) A/C needs charged. All parts are present. There is a pin size hole in the line going from the compressor to the evaporator. Compressor turns on, and is quiet and runs fine. I have a receipt that it was re-built in 2011. The compressor is the piston type, and not the rotary. Transmission rebuilt by Mercedes - Benz (not an indie shop) in mid 2000's. Shifts thru all gears great with NO dead spots, or erratic shifting. I have had several (10+) W123 diesels and this is one of the best running ones I have owned. Vacuum pump working perfectly and is within MB spec's. Injection pump rebuilt in mid 2000's and is also within MB specs. Dash is cracked (as with most 123's), but a coverlay dash pad was put on by the previous owner. Some small bits of rust in trunk at rear, where the bumper meets the body. Rocker panels and wheel wells rust free. Some minor interior parts need either fixed or replaced - Bulbs, minor trim, etc . Headliner is OK, but could use a good cleaning. Seats (MB Tex) are in excellent condition, with no rips or tears. Carpet is in very good condition. Interior door panels are in great to excellent condition. Overall, interior is very nice and clean. All lights work - headlights, tail lights, etc. Light alloy rims in good condition, but could use a good cleaning or re-paint. Tires are in great shape. Aprox 70% front and 80% rear. No dry rot or flat spots. Tires have been checked and balanced by the local tire shop. Brand new ball joints just installed. New fuel filter. Paintwork is OK. It's presentable as a daily driver. Car was re-painted in the early 2000's, and looks decent for its age, but not a show car paint job, so don't expect it to be perfect. Body is straight. All exterior trim is present. All power windows work. Driver side rear window regulator is slow. Euro bumpers are straight with no corrosion. Headlight glass is in great shape. Newer battery (2014) Does not burn oil, smoke or leak any fluids. Starts right up, glow plug circuit works as it should. Glow plugs replaced about 5 years ago. Exhaust system is good and quiet. Comes with a box of spare parts - switches, relays, trim, etc... Exact true mileage is unknown. Odometer shows 120k, but the odometer is not working, so mileage will be TMU. I do not know how long it has been inoperative, and not to mention, the cluster was probably changed to a USA spec miles odometer instead of KmH. The speedometer is working fine. Most likely its the old common W123/W126/W124 problem of that pesky gear. No strange noises when hitting bumps, or taking corners. Shocks all seem to be good, with a nice firm ride. Brakes work great, and pedal feels like it should. All this being said, it is the bidders responsibility to ask any and ALL questions, request photo's, etc. It is the buyers responsibility to arrange shipping, or pick up in the Orlando Florida area. I may consider delivery within 200 miles of Orlando for an additional fee. For delivery, I have a company I can recommend that is very reasonable. Car is 100% reliable and ready to drive anywhere as it is. If you are local, inspection and test driving is encouraged and will be happy to assist. Buyer needs to understand this is a 34 year old car. IT IS NOT PERFECT, but has a lot of potential as a great restoration candidate, while using it now as a daily driver. CAR IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS , WITH NO WARRANTY, EXCHANGE OR REFUND. A $500 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS DUE WITHIN 48 HOURS OF AUCTION ENDING VIA PAYPAL. THE REST IS DUE UPON PICK UP, OR PRIOR TO CAR BEING RELEASED TO THE CARRIER. I WILL NOT RELEASE CAR UNTIL PAID IN FULL. REMAINING BALANCE IS CASH ONLY. NO CHECKS.
