3rd Generation Honda Hybrid technology, this vehicle is in perfect running order! Amazing fuel economy at 35 MPG!! New IMA Hybrid Battery installed in 2015!! You will not have to replace the hybrid battery for another decade, this is my promise to you and i can prove the service record! This particular civic has undergone extensive customized cosmetic bodywork. In other words, i installed a race car body kit, parts i've added or replaced: Front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, rear spoiler, front headlights, rear break lights, custom Lanzo Rims, and pearl white professional paint job. Let's talk about the batteries in the vehicle.. The Hybrid Battery, also known as the IMA Battery is a 158volt Nickel metal hydride (NiMH) battery with approx 132 cells in it wired in series. located behind the rear passenger seats. Over a decade or so the battery begins to decay and the unit needs to be replaced or essentially the car would be useless. So, in 2015 I replaced the IMA battery which cost about $2000 including install. So the car is like new again and the next owner won't find themselves in a pinch to replace an expensive piece of gear for at least 8-10 years from now. As for the 12v battery system under the hood, that was replaced earlier this year. Addionally, a U-Haul hitch was installed on the vehicle in 2016 and it does tow small sized trailers without any problems. I've used it for moving several times. I purchased this vehicle new from the dealership in Los Angeles, CA in 2006 and have been the only owner of the car. The interior has not been altered and the LCD Navigation Display is up to date and has been a HUGE help in getting to where i'm going over the years. I highly recommend this car and don't let the mileage scare you, the hybrid design is TWO engines, in one car, tethered together, and it will definitely drive another 200,000+ miles. The air conditioning works fantastic here in Florida because I refill the refrigerant myself, top off all the fluids and regularly get oil changes every 3000 miles. Don't worry about spending a whole bunch of money on synthetic oil as it is recommended for the hybrid, but regular oil works great and I've never had any problems! This car has saved me lots of money on fuel over the years and I am truly sad to let her go, but i know she has a 2nd and even a 3rd life with another owner, I have already acquired another vehicle and that is why I'm putting this really great car up for auction on eBay motors.
