Vehicle Detail
PLEASE READ THIS IN ITS ENTIRETY: I purchased this 2002 Trailblazer LS 4WD in October 2013, when it had 106,000 miles on it, as my son’s daily driver for high school and college. It is now at 136,486. It was last driven on October 30, 2017 and I am selling it because the right side has been scrapped against the side of a garage and I do not want to spend the money to repair it because it has other mechanical issues. I consider this as a broken car that needs to be repaired, and will not consider parting it out. It is being sold as is, with no warranty expressed or implied. I am the owner and have it free and clear, clean New Jersey title in hand. Please view all photos, as they are part of the description as follows. As I am not a mechanic, please be mindful that I am describing the condition of the vehicle to the best of my knowledge and ability. These are the good points of the vehicle: The NJ inspection sticker is valid until August of 2018. There are no warning lights on; no “check engine” light. All four Michelin tires match and still have good tread on them, and there is a full-size spare tire. It does start; the battery is good. It has a new radiator, installed this spring. It has a new CV joint, installed October 30th. It has a towing hitch. All the windows go up and down as they ought, and there are no cracks in any of the glass. All the interior and exterior lights work, as do all the front and rear windshield wipers. It has four upgraded rubber Trailblazer floor mats and rear cargo tray (handy for winter). It has a nice working radio with CD player and aux and is a removable face, with an aftermarket alarm system with remote lock and unlock (two keys and two remotes). It has an extraordinarily clean and dry interior. All the upholstery is excellent condition, with no stains or tears. The headliner is clean and firm. Our home and our vehicles are smoke-free and pet-free. These are the bad points of the vehicle, in addition to its being scrapped and having a few pre-existing blemishes. There could be additional issues with this vehicle, of which I am unaware: It makes a grindy sound and the steering wheel vibrates when driven. The new CV joint recently installed did not remedy the situation. I don’t know the cause, therefore, I will assume a worst-case scenario such as a faulty transmission or differential. Even though it was driven home from Cape May, I personally would not continue to drive it. Please see the photos of the radio, and note 4WD selection dial to the left of it. Regardless of the setting, the lights for the other levels now intermittently blink. The front passenger door now cannot be fully opened, but its window still operates normally, despite this. Its mirror is broken. The front passenger side bumper and trim have popped out. If you don’t thoroughly warm it up before driving, it will stall out. The air conditioner works for about 10 to 15 minutes, but then stops. Rust bubbles have begun to appear under the front lip of the hood. It’s due for an oil change this month. Transaction Details: There is no reserve. The opening price reflects what I would receive for it at a scrapyard, plus eBay seller’s fees. I will not consider any transaction outside of eBay, and for this reason, it is not being listed locally. Please submit all questions prior to bidding. Within 24 hours of the close of the auction, the winning bidder must make a deposit of $185.00 via PayPal. The remaining balance may also be paid via PayPal prior to pick-up, or a United States Postal Service (Post Office) money order with the balance of the payment may be presented at the time of pick-up; no cash. I will sign over the title in exchange only for the full payment of the winning bid amount. I will meet the buyer at a mutually agreeable pick-up time at our home in Brick, NJ. The buyer must remove the entire vehicle off our property within 48 hours of my signing over the title, and the entire transaction must conclude on or before Sunday, November 19th. Again, please consider this the sale a broken car that needs to be repaired. Again, I am selling it as is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Thank you for viewing my listing. On Nov-07-17 at 02:46:01 PST, seller added the following information: The outside mirrors are manual, not power-operated. The front windshield was replaced in 2013 shortly before I purchased it, because of a crack caused by debris hitting it on the highway. Each door's power window and door lock work. We see no leaks on the ground when the car is moved from its usual parking spot. It does not smoke, nor does it burn oil. I have had the oil changed and the tires rotated regularly. It was done several times at All American Ford, Point Pleasant because they are very close to our home, and they will service any make or model vehicle. I do not see rust bubbles around the perimeter of any of the four wheel wells or the rear gate.
