1978 Toyota Land cruiser FJ40 in Dune Beige. I am the 3rd owner and have owned this cruiser for the last 13 years. The odometer reads 09112. It had 98,000 when I bought it and the previous owner stated those were the original miles. I believe that to be true because this cruiser is extremely clean and has not been beat up or butchered. It has rear fender flares and a 4 inch lift that were done by the previous owner. The tires are Cooper 31x11.50 R15 and they are in good condition. The spare is new and has never been mounted. I installed a wench in the front (never used) and an after market bumper made by Man A Fre. This is a heavy duty bumper with a spare tire carrier, a water/gas can carrier, Hi Lift jack carrier, and a trailer hitch (see pics). The Hi Lift jack is included in the sale. This bumper retails for $ 1,640.00 on the Man A Fre website, part no (MAF-1045), otherwise it pretty much stock with the original 2F motor and drive train. A new clutch has been installed. The motor runs well and passes smog inspection every time. All of the gauges and lights work. It still has the mechanic's light that plugs inside of the glove box. I had it repainted the original Dune Beige color several years ago. At that time I replaced the majority of the rubber and all of the emblems. What little rust it had was repaired. No wrecks or previous body damage that I am aware of. It was very straight when I got it. Since that time I have noticed some very small bubbles in the paint in the right rear lower panel (see pics). I also had the front seats and headliner re-done. The original jump seats are in great shape and the rear heater works. It does leak a small amount of motor oil from the pan area and a little gear oil from the transfer case. These leaks never bothered me and I never got around to address them (easy fix). That being said, this is a really clean , good running cruiser. It has not been abused and it gets a lot of thumbs up.
