Up for sale is a 1949 Chevrolet 3100. Its quite a unique truck. Its been in my family since 2003. Very fun to drive. The chassis has been swapped from a 1976 k5 blazer. The frame, suspension, steering, braking system, and drive train is from the 1976 4wd 1/2 ton blazer. Everything is operational. Except the radio. the engine is "stock" from what I can tell. The engine casting number is 3970014. Transmission is a TH350, transfer case is a NP203. the engine is equipped with a 2 barrel Rochester carburetor that I rebuild last summer. no leaks or issues with it. THE GOOD ENGINES IS STONG. fires right up every time. good power and doesn't skip a beat. TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GOOD. no slippage, rough or lagging shifts. CAN HUAL A TRALER. The K5 blazer 1/2 ton chassis and drivetrain is a great match for this cab. should have zero issues with a good load. STOPS ON A DIME/ TURN WITH EASE. Along with a powerful drivetrain. the power brakes and power steering have been swapped as well. The truck has a power brake booster and a power steering pump which make driving fun and easy. GOOD HEATER. Cab heater works well in winter months. THE UGLY I would be lying if I said this trucks didn't have mirror issues. One of which is that there is a little piece of rust on the drivers side lower portion of the fender, and also some serface rust on some chrome parts, lie handles and bolts. very small repairable pieces. but it is there. passanger side window has a crack in it. the transmission pan is chrome, and it leaks about a drop a day. very small but it is there. from my records it looks like this swap was done in the 90's. however the truck looks good. cashiers check or cash is the only form of payment accepted. happy bidding!!
