Hard to find today. Yes, a one owner 45 tear old pick up ( as we call them in Texas). This truck was purchased new in ALTO, Texas which is a small town just west of NACOGDOCHES, Texas which is 150 miles north of Houston. Texas truck all its life. It even has the original rear bumper with the motor co. name engraved in it!. Now to the truck. It was just purchased out of the estate. It is the TOP OF THE LINE in its day! Long bed Ranger XLT!!! She is wearing all of it original components that it was born with except for what we have replaced during its repairs to be returned to the road. We have done all that one would/should do after a vehicle sits for nearly a decade. All All fluids changed, complete tune up including doing away with the points and installing PERTRONICS. Complete brakes from the hoses out ALL NEW. Cleaned, repaired or replaced fuel tank, lines fuel pump, and carb. Naturally the 17 year old tires were in nice shape BUT had to go so even new tires and new shocks ( they were originals). Complete A/C repair including compressor ,flush and fill with 134a refrigerant. Yes it is ICE COLD! Heater works as designed. In other words this truck does everything that it did the day it was purchased new in 05-11-1972. You could not ask for a nicer driving vehicle. It is saaaaweat! The power brakes and steering make it so that mom or daughter or anyone can drive it. It starts ez,runs well and is a pure pleasure to drive and does it get the LOOKS!. 360 V-8 Automatic trans Air conditioning Power steering and brakes Original everything! except driver seat redone and has grandpa's cig burns in it! The body is in very nice condition and she still wears her factory original PAINT! It has a good shine to it and the glass is all nice as well. One single chip in the windshield and that's about it. I have taken close pictures of 2 rust holes in the hood on the outside. The under side of the hood is beautiful. Also there is the always done hole in the bed side to install the 108 inch C.B. antenna that everyone had in the 70's. EVERY piece that you could EVER want for this truck is available on line at LMC truck in Olathe, Ks. Now to the not so nice part. I have taken good pictures of the rust that it has. As a restorer for the past 30+ years this is not a rusty truck. The small amount that it does have is no where near life threatening! It is for the most part surface rust and NOT that flakey heavy IM DONE rust that needs parts replaced!. This is a nice truck. I DO believe you can fly into Corpus Christi, Texas and drive this truck home trouble free. We have done EVERYTHING that should be done to bring this vehicle back up to DAILY DRIVER condition.
