Up for auction, 1972 Ford Torino base model. Factory equipped with a 351 Cobra Jet, 4 speed transmission, bench seat and rubber floor mat. This car came from Illinois and was sitting for many years before I bought it. It still has the original title from 1972 and some paperwork from the dealership. This car is very straight but as you can see from the photos it does have rust. Being from Wisconsin I've seen worse. There is a small section rusted through on left rear frame rail close to where the trailing arm attaches. The drivers side floor has a couple of rusty sections. The passenger side floor is in better shape. Trunk is in nice shape. I have never seen another base model Torino with this drivetrain and almost no options except for the performance stuff. This car is set up like a '69 Torino Cobra! It's a must have for any 351 CJ collector because chances are no one else has ever seen one like it. Car kept by the original owner until 2016. It was still riding on Goodyear Polyglass tires that are in very poor shape, mounted on original rims. I put three 16" Crown Victoria wheels on it. The fourth polyglass tire is still on the car but vibrates when driving. I kept the other three wheels and tires. I believe all 5 wheels are original to the car. The first 5 digits of the VIN are: 2H25Q Other options include: medium blue metallic, ralley group, trac loc differential, power brakes, power steering, electric rear defogger, body side mouldings, bumper guards, racing mirrors. There is currently a stereo in the car but I believe by the option list it is a radio delete car. It has 72,250 original miles, runs good and has good oil pressure. I've driven it around the neighborhood a couple of times going up to about 50mph...drivetrain sounds really good and it shifts through all gears nicely. It's loud because the pipes are rusted at the front of the mufflers. The car was not driven for many years before I bought it so it needs brakes, tires, etc. Please ask any questions before bidding.
