Vehicle Detail
This 2007 Prius was my daily driver, until the hybrid battery died. I was commuting an hour each way and was getting 50-52mpg on average. My better half says I don't need 5 cars. So, I've been "advised" to let it go. This car is not a show car, but would make a great commuter or spare vehicle. There is no rust, but has the usual rock/ paint chips for a car it's age. The interior is in decent condition. But, it could use a good upholstery cleaning. AC, heat, stereo, back up camera and all the electrical doo-dads worked great. The check engine light comes on and goes off every now and then. It's always done that since I bought it. The last time I had it serviced at the dealer, they put new pressure sensors on the wheels. But, they wouldn't link to the computer. So, the tire inflation light stays on - but the tires are fine and have good tread. Part of the lower front grill is missing from my wife bumping something at work, the first and only time she ever drove it. There's a scrape on the driver's rear bumper from my Father in law bumping the car in our driveway four years ago (keep her side of the family away from your car...). The scrape is on the bumper and probably could be covered with touch up paint. The metal was not dented. Other than that, the body is straight and in good shape. The brake pads will probably need to be replaced soon. It's been a great car. Now I'm commuting 100 miles a day in a Jeep that gets 13 mpg. You can't beat 50+ mpg! There are several vendors on ebay that replace hybrid batteries for under $1000 installed. The car has been sitting in the driveway for a while but still starts and runs. But, you will need a trailer to get it home. Clear title in hand. Car is for sale as-is.
