Jaguar 2001 XK8 Convertible for sale. No RESERVE. I bought the Jag from a dealer in Delaware when I came to the US two years ago and drove it for two months with temporary plates. I bought it online but there were some issues with the car that haven’t been mentioned by the dealer before. I needed a car due to the fact that my Mercedes was still in a container in Germany and wouldn’t be shipped for the next two weeks and I had a rental for already ten days. So, the dealer lowered the price and I took the vehicle (bad mistake). After consulting a lawyer, I got another 1000, -$ back, but not at all enough to do the repair. After four weeks, I fall in love with a BMW M coupe and bought it. I wanted two fix the Jag over the winter but never found the time. It has been sitting for two years in the drive way and needs to go to make some space for a boat. I got two cars and a motorbike and the Jag really needs to go (I know, a sad story). It is in onyx white with tan leather interior and tan roof (electrical roof works fine) It sits on 20-inch chrome wheels (255 45 20) which match the color of the car. The tread of the tires is good. The car is equipped with the usual features like CD- Changer, power roof, power looks and mirrors etc. Even if it still looks pretty good the car has mechanical, electrical and cosmetical issues: - Suspension on the front is not tight (ball joints) - Electrical seats are not working - Control module internal failure (ABS and DTS lights is on) - Park break light is on, but brake is not closed - AC cools but needs a refill - After two years there was a little oil beneath the engine, but haven’t located the leak. - Wheels show some corrosion (see pictures) I build in a battery two month ago and the car started without any issues. After I had it running for 10’ it wouldn’t start again. The starter just clicks and is probably stuck. The new battery is dead too but can be probably recharged easily. But definitely you need a trailer to pick the car up. Right now, it can’t go on a trailer by its own. And of course, all the fluids would need to be replaced too. For the two months that I used the car engine and transmission were running well and I hadn’t any issues. I never registered the car, but I got the necessary paperwork including the title. The auction is without reserve, I really need the space. The car is sold as is, there is no warranty. You are more than welcome to check out the vehicle (what I strongly recommend). Please don’t asked about a “buy it now”-option or what “Is my final price”, etc., I will not answer this kind of emails. The vehicle must be picked up with a trailer within 7 days after the end of the auction unless you discuss other terms prior to the end of the auction.
