Offered for auction is a 1960 Austin Healey 3000 as found stored behind a barn for 36 years. It is not pretty or driveable, but it offers a good base for a total restoration or use as a parts car. The car has a clear title and the VIN and body plates are all present. The engine is complete including carbs and manifolds. The transmission is a side shifter 4 speed with the optional overdrive. The driveshaft and rear axle assembly are also there. The instrument panel and windscreen are still in place, and the odometer shows just over 22,000 miles on it. The top frame is also there. The car suffers from rust through floor pans and trunk floor and the body shows a great deal of neglect. If it is restored, it will need a Jules frame. We will remove the tree growing on the engine if you wish. The suspension and steering components are in place, but the tires are all rotted. Bring a rollback trailer or skaytes to load it.
