The LS1 engine runs very strong and usually delivers almost 30mpg. Very fuel efficient and powerful car. This car is not your "run of the mill" 1998 Bright Red beaten to death 170k mile automatic corvette with wagon wheels you see advertised for 10-12k dollars. I am very realistic in my reserve for this car and you will be hard pressed to fine a Corvette with thousands of dollars in upgrades and 117k miles with a reserve near 10k dollars. With Brand new high performance Cooper Tires and ZO6 wheels to boot. Reason for selling is I am a classic car collector with 14 vehicles and I am finding myself exhausted with upkeep and just plain being able to drive each vehicle. I've owned this car going on 3 years and only driven 5k miles for example. This is a car you can be very proud to own, as I am 39 years old and do not enjoy abusing vehicles and driving aggressively. This car is well above the condition of most 1998 Corvettes but If you are looking for a time capsule with 8k miles owned by an 80 year old man, this car is not that either. Negatives:Clear coat chip front bumper-Hard to notice due to silver makes it hard to seeReverse works perfectly-you have to rest your hand on the shifter in reverse-slight adjustment neededCheck engine light due to O2 sensor -Magnaflow exhaustTire pressure sensors non functioning-C6 ZO6 wheel upgrade-You can correct this if you chooseExhaust clamp loose-rattles at low speedLMC-5 performed-Still get a "pull key" warning once in a blue moon but does not affect the car.(google this if unsure please-very common) I believe in full-disclosure. Someone will be very pleased with their purchase of this particular muscle car due to the expensive upgrades and low mileage for the year. Please be respectful of my time.
