1995 Mercedes E300D Diesel 340k miles DESCRIPTION: Strong running 22 year old diesel Mercedes with 340k miles. From my understanding, I am the second owner and its been a daily driver for 22 years, thus the 340k miles. I’d drive it cross country today if I had to but it is 22 years olds so no guarantees or warranty. Southern California car, no rust. Well maintained car, if you read up on this car you know this is the best year, most reliable Mercedes you can buy. No turbo, no computer and just super simple reliability. This has been my daily driver since October 2015 when I bought it with 303,100 miles. I’ve put 37k miles on it in less than two years to include driving it cross country when I moved from Southern California to Atlanta towing my motorcycle trailer. I am selling it as I’ve purchased an electric vehicle for commuting and no longer need this car. TITLE: Clean title in Georgia with current registration all in my name. No issues. GOOD: - Runs and drives great!- New Alternator (July 2017)- Good Tires (May 2016 17k miles ago)- Fresh Oil Change (June 2017)- Recent Radiator (Feb 2016)- Recent Rear Bilstein Springs and Shocks (Feb 2016)- Recent Front and Rear brake pads (Feb 2016)- Recent Transmission Service (May 2016: fluid, filter and pressure adjustment), has upgrade shift spring- New Ignition cylinder lock/key (2 different keys: one for ignition, other for doors/trunk with spares for both)- A/C works (See note on bad for HVAC)- Radio: CD, USB and BlueTooth for music or phone, remove microphone near windshield (FM/AM antenna not going up and is broken)- Power Windows, locks works (sometimes rear window button sticks)- Defrost/heated mirrors works- Added 2 cupholders (came with 0 from factory…)- Tow hitch with trailer lights connector. I tow a 4x8 trailer for stuff at home depot and my motorcycle.- Dual airbags, ABS, traction control- Some extra parts: oil filters, fuel filters, misc- Original owners manual and window sticker ($45k or similar back in 1995!!) BAD: - Cruise Control: doesn’t work, stopped working 12 months ago- Sunroof: slight leak and starting not to work so I stopped using it and put a magnetic cover to make it 100% water tight.- Driver armrest cover flops a bit- HVAC: The heater control valve starting leaking last winter and its no longer made so I couldn’t replace it. It is unique for this year and engine car. I replaced it with a custom setup that I came up with that has a manual screw valve that you pop the hood and either open (allow hot engine coolant into interior compartment heater core) or closed (do not allow hot engine coolant into interior compartment heater core). Basically, its either heater on or not. Not ideal, but in the winter I leave it in heater on and its nice and warm. In the summer, I leave it heater off and the AC works great. You can adjust the fan speed and AC on or off but that’s it, spinning the dial for hot/cold doesn’t do anything.- Normal wear and tear inside/out: headliner coming down, some vinyl tears/stains, some minor dents and paint fading, etc. I’ve tried to take lots of photos- No leaks but there is ‘weaping’, not sure how else to describe it. Not a concern for me but over time there will be some diesel fuel or oil drops on my garage floor. No obvious leaks but its 320k miles and I’m sure there is some oil and/or diesel weaping from a seal somewhere. When I change the oil (I do it myself) its never low.
