Vehicle Detail

This may not be the world's worst snotter bike ever, but surely a contender. This is a 1972 Suzuki GT750 that I purchased solely for the exhaust pipes it was wearing - those went on a 1973 that eventually went to Germany. As you may have figured out - the pipes were about the only notable item on it. This poor thing has not had a good life - at some point the front end was updated with the 1973 disc brake front end (I have been told that Suzuki offered an update kit for the '72 owners that were less than enamored with their 4LS front drum brake and this may have been the case), plus the obvious neglect it has endured. My options for the carcass were to scrap the remains or post it for anyone that may have a burning desire for a classic two stroke project. If you are the one looking for a project, this may be what you've been looking for. For transparency's sake, this thing does not have a title - I listed it as 'salvage' as EBay's listing process doesn't allow "no title". So, to be clear, this is being sold for parts only. It is my understanding that you may be able to use one of the title service companies out there to get paper for it (thought of doing this but I have a lazy streak sometimes). To offer more insight about this thing, it would almost be easier for me to list what is good about it but that isn't what you're reading this for. So, here we go: the engine is locked up, the overall condition of the chrome is obvious (rusty), wiring is a question waiting to be answered, paint is long gone, tach/speedo exhibit cracks, the seat is only a rusty base that may or may not be repairable, the carbs are gone (the bowls looked like Swiss cheese when I looked at them and the tires are only tires in the sense that they are round and black. Possible positives are that the bike is almost complete - a new reproduction seat cover comes with the bike, the cooling fan is in a box, some carb parts are in a box, and I have a front fork set from a real '72 that will come with the bike - you just need to find that elusive 4LS brake drum. Also, the fork gaitors are gone and the disc brake calipers are not from a 1973. It is missing other items but you can see that in the pictures. The caveat that "what you see is what you get" applies here. I'm sure I'm missing some things but will certainly answer any questions that you may have. Realizing that this beauty will be pricey to bring back to life, I'm listing this as a no reserve / low starting price auction. Transportation is the buyer's responsibility, although I will assist with loading for your chosen carrier. Again, please just ask any questions prior to bidding and good luck. On Aug-13-17 at 17:21:23 PDT, seller added the following information: There seems to be some confusion regarding the exhaust system - the set you see is what you will get with the bike - just as you see it. The pipes that came with the bike were much nicer than what I had for my other bike, hence, THAT set ultimately went to Germany and you will get the second best set I had. Again, if you see it in the picture on the bike, it comes as such. What you see is what you get. Thanks
