1972 BMW 2002 - ROUNDIE - 4-SPEED - RUNS - DRIVES - ORIGINAL CONDITION - Originally Golf - Painted Atlantik I purchased the car from the owner since 1999 in Connecticut. Car had been stored for over 15 years in his garage. Gas tank and carburetor (Weber) were cleaned, started right up and drove. Engine runs strong and clutch works great and transmission shifts well. The brakes are a little sticky from sitting. I purchased all new rotors, calipers, brake pads/shoes, wheel cylinders and seals to fix that problem (come with purchase) although I think bleeding the brakes and driving the car can cure the problem too. My plan was to replace brakes front and rear, give a tune up, put new tires on it and use as a driver. I am finishing restoring my '73 tii and thought it would be fun to have a driver (forgot what it was like to drive one) while putting back together my car. As all good plans, I really don't have the time and should use what time I have putting back together my tii so I have this up for sale. Paint is not great, interior is nice; good carpet, door panels and trim nice, but seats have tears. Blaupunkt Denver SQR26 radio with cassette which works with all 4 speakers. Comes with Bruce Springsteen cassette... Has rust on drivers side frame rail and all else is minor from what I saw. Shock towers are good, floor boards, even the spare tire well has just a few areas.
