I bought this car new in 1988. When the car reached 100,000 miles I decided to do a V8 conversion using the V8 Archie kit. I built a small block Chevy 406 cubic inch street engine and had Jim Paquet Transmissions build a custom automatic transmission.The car ran well but had some teething problems. The first transmission started to slip so I had a second one built with stronger parts. My first set of headers created too much heat. Consequently I pulled the engine and then the project got put on the back burner.The engine has about 550 miles on it since the build and is still breaking in.I started putting the car back together with a new set of block hugger headers but have not completed the exhaust system. But my wife and I will be moving out of the country in a few months and I need get rid of a bunch of stuff including this car and I've priced it accordingly.Here is a list of what I've done so far.
