This is my #2 of 3 of these bikes, with a stable of 5, so it was never my daily rider.I got this bike, in this paint scheme and fairing condition, back in 1986 and have basically sat on this bike with very few rides.The provenance was a purchase in Monterey from a Ft. Ord military person that was shipping out, didn't want the bike and couldn't troubleshoot its problem, even though I lent him my manual, which was a faulty sensor. I replaced the sensor then, but this bike was never a strong desire to be my daily rider. I'm hoping she can find a good home as I simply have too many bikes, never had any huge aspirations for this one and no interested to put in the time/effort. It's simply overdue time to clean house. The bike is nearly all there - here's the exception to this purchase... THE RIGHT FRONT TURN SIGNAL DOES NOT GO WITH THE BIKE - see the picture of the broken one for the blinker that does. I will mount this broken blinker before shipping. The DMV and CHP inspections to title and register this bike are complete, so it's on paper legally and street ready. I will mount the California plate before shipping. Here's my prognosis:She runs and starts fine. Goes down the road at 110+, meaning the turbo is very functional.The kill and ignition switches could use some cleaning.The rear tire is one size to large (an experiment) and should be replaced.Brake lines replaced 2yrs ago with Galfer black over stainless, calipers rebuilt, new pads.New battery.Rear fender, modified before me.Temp and Gas gauges function, but seem temperamental.Very, very small oil leak at what appears to be the oil pressure sensor.Besides the small leak, doesn't burn oil.Rear rim has circular scratches from a previous tire change or bad cleaning.Small screw here or there to be replaced as well as small rubber parts.Very small ding at top of gas tank.Fairing.... butt ugly. What's missing:Mount bracket at clutch face plateRadiator metal screenRubber boot at swing armShift lever rubberKnob at dash reset buttonHeat shield at exhaust down pipeFairing center piece at lower sectionNew right fairing blinker I'd prefer a restoration home as the bike does need TLC, but it could be a parts bike or a creators start point for a custom rebuild - your call. I've given lots of detail to be as honest and factual as possible, but I could have missed something - if you have a question, ask. Bike is sold as-is, with no implied warranty - remember, it's a 35 year old bike (and a collectors item). $500 deposit via PayPal is required immediately and the balance in cashiers check withing 3 days - FedEx overnight is fine... I'm not doing this to screw around. I might be willing to deliver within 20 miles or so, but shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Good luck with the bidding.
