1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 This Camaro is believed to be, although it cannot be confirmed, as an authentic 1970 Z28. Research indicates that this is a genuine V8' 1970 Camaro Sport Coupe built the 3rd week of the month in the Van Nuys, Los Angeles, Ca. plant. The car left the factory with 726 Saddle Interior and 53/53 Camaro Gold. A 12 bolt rear end is present and while numbers indicate a Z28, other clues such as 3:08 Non-Positraction rear end further indicate it may well not be a Z28. Additionally, while original sway bar is missing, the brackets are in place as original for the correct Z28 sway bar. Sadly, this once handsome Camaro carries a Salvage title, due to passenger and right rear Qtr damage, repairable. While not an original numbers matching car, this Camaro is an excellent candidate for restoration or pro touring Father/Son project. Otherwise body is fairly straight with good door, hood & fender gaps that appear to be stock. * Steel hood is original and in great condition. * Stock and uncut firewall with all original fitment. * Frame is believed to be original to the car and undamaged due to prior accident mentioned. That said, I cannot guarantee a frame jig or similar tool should not be used during restoration to ensure a 100% straight vehicle. * All chrome & stainless in average to restorable condition. * All original windshield, glass, side windows & back window glass with some scratches to driver side window. * Door and window seals are believed to be original and pliable. * All the exterior lights, turn signals, & horn work. * All exterior badging is in tact and original. Engine Compartment: * 350 Chevrolet (Late Model - Mid 80's) engine. * Engine is in very good running condition with little to no known issues. Idles, runs and does not overheat. * Mild camshaft installed. Type unknown. * Set of headers. Type unknown. * Edlebrock 650 carburetor for easy and reliable running. * Overall, stock and clean appearance in engine bay. Drivetrain: * Believed to be replacement Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission. * Original drive shaft. * Original 12 bolt rear-end as previously mentioned. * Overall , clean and stock undercarriage and original drivetrain. Suspension/brakes/exhaust system: * Original suspension and brakes with recent wheel cylinders. * Unmodified and as mentioned original rear sway bar brackets in place. Interior/trunk: * Original interior although natural wear and tear. Some sound fading and plastics discoloration. * Worn diver seat and arm rest along with door panel carpet is worn and faded. * Rear seat is in good original condition. * Trunk is clean with little sign of rust. *Original GM seat belts. ***I am selling this vehicle on behalf of a neighbor whom has done his best to fully disclose the condition of the vehicle and it's attributes. *** I am NOT a dealer.
