This is the very tragic story of my Lotus Elise 06 supercharged. Tragic for me, but definitely not for you. I purchased this vehicle from lotus in Austin for about 40000$ almost brand new with only 14000 miles and it still has almost only 15000. About 5 months into having my vehicle someone attempted to steal it and damaged the front cab and back and scratched the cabs of the car. They also vandalized the front lights and heavy scratched the front cab but that shouldn't be a problem since it has to be replaced anyway. I have a small crack on the back of the vehicle that I made prior to the attempted theft from backing into a pillar in a parking lot. Because I didn't have the finances to restore the vehicle, I kept this car in a storage for about half a year. About 3 months ago I went bankrupt and now I have to sell this very amazing car ASAP. I did not have the funds to get it properly inspected by a mechanic. Like I said I am selling AS IS but there should be absolutely no damage to the engine. The chasis and suspension I am not sure if it is damaged from the theft, but I doubt there is any. The car ran absolutely perfectly before the theft and with exterior restoration should be great because all they did was try to lift the car. I very sadly lost the electronic key and the key to the ignition. Once you get another pair of keys you need to have someone restart the electronics in the car because the only way to start the engine even before the theft and the car was in amazing condition was by activating the car's electronics with the electronic key's unlock button, it initiated the engine; I have no idea why i'm sure a mechanic could reset everything for that. The previous owner spent a lot of money inside the interior so it has an awesome sound system and other things that make this a very special lotus. All the tires are slashed and need to be replaced. Yea the people who tried to steal this car really screwed me over. This car would be an amazing project for someone to rebuild. I'm selling this car very cheaply because of everything that I said I have no idea about cars so my loss is your gain. I'm sure you could even resell this car for much more than I am asking and get a profit. Hell I'm sure the engine alone is worth much much more than I am asking as it is in perfect condition with only 15000 miles under its belt. I'm sure once you receive the car you will be incredibly happy if you are a lotus lover. Like I said please email me any questions about the car and I will answer them to the best of my ability. Like I said I never got it inspected since the theft because im bankrupt so once again I emphasize this car as AS IS. If you live around central texas (I am located in san antonio) I will gladly take you to see the car in person. But fact is I'm selling this car ASAP. Shipping needs to be organized by YOU after the auction. We will talk on the phone and I will give the title and papers to the tow company that is taking the vehicle to your house.
