Vehicle Detail

BEAUTIFUL... ORIGINAL.... TITLED..... RUNNING.......PIECE OF 1970'S DIRTBIKE HISTORY!! This is seriously a very nice survivor bike.. it has to be among the best of the non restored Pentons out there. THIS IS NOT A BIKE YOU HAVE SEEN FLOATING AROUND FOR SALE BEFORE... I am told this bike is a 1974.5 bike... just after some factory updates became standard... I'LL LET YOU PENTON EXPERTS DECIDE ON THAT I am selling this for a friend... but I am a previous owner of several years This bike has had 5 owners... first owner bought bike new at Lindys Susuki, Romeo, mich... rode it for a season, maybe two... stored it in his basement until approx. 1994... when a guy in Utica, mich bought it... rode it about 3 miles and stored it until about 1997... sold to to another guy who drove it up and down his driveway couple times and stored it in his garage... sold to me in approx. 2003... I rode it up and down my street... and stored it.... I sold it to current owner in approx. 2011... who rode it up and down his driveway... and displays it in his shop in Lynchfield, Ohio. Near Medina, Ohio. actual mileage is unknown... original speedo converted to an enduro timer. (by SPECMO) THIS BIKE IS IN LITCHFIELD, OHIO 44253... THAT IS WHERE THE BIKE WILL BE PICKED UP FROM, OR SHIPPED FROM. YOU WILL ONLY SEND ME THE $300.00 DEPOSIT BY PAYPAL.. THE REST YOU WILL PAY TO THE REAL OWNER... You will be given his name, address and phone number in advance of any further payment . or request out phone numbers for questions> We are both willing to answer any questions about the bike This bike is extremely original with these exceptions: John Pentons autograph on the fuel tank the "penton stickers" on the tank are new The spark arrestor/silencer The side covers of the bike have their original patina on them.. where your boots and leathers rub the paint off every one of these bikes.... the side cover on the right was covered with clear contact paper and repainted to "look nicer" as garage art... if you peel off that paper... very easy to do.. you will see the original paint undernesth... slightly worn. Bike has preston petty period correct fender and headlight... they are from the 1970's. The original seat is in very nice shape.. if you actually ride the bike... you'd put another seat on to avoid damaging this one Note the speedo is really a converted VDO speedo... converted to a 24 mph enduro time... how cool is that!! The tool bag on the back... probably has dust from 1977 in it!! Note most factory stickers are still on the shocks, forks, frame, rims... gentle use decades ago headlight and taillight work Clear title!!! (Michigan) Bike starts, runs, shifts, stops just fine!! Inside of tank CLEAN contrals and switches all in nice shape I'l bet the tires are original.. they are certainly from the 70's overseas sale just fine.. will cooperate with your shipper Delivery to AMA vintage days possible as long as the bike is prepaid. On Jun-10-17 at 03:41:01 PDT, seller added the following information: For questions about the bike contact: Greg, former owner 1-586-530-9163 Ron current owner 1-330-636-6279 controls and switches in great shape (as mis spelled above!) The paint under the contact paper has the patina of being ridden, NOT of being crashed, fixed and covered up!! The bike was purchased new at Lindy's Suzuki of Romeo back in the 70's.On Jun-15-17 at 09:05:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Included with bike will be the title of course... and a nice binder with lots of cool info about this bike in particular and pentons in general. A real nice little extra of tidbits assembled by the owners of this bike over the decades may even have a picture of when John Penton sign this actual tank in 2006
