I am selling my 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Fastback due to a back injury which will not permit me to finish the restoration. It is a solid California built car with a rebuilt 390 V8 and rebuilt Cruiseomatic transmission. The generator, starter and carburetor were also rebuilt. The radiator was cleaned. The power steering cylinder was rebuilt and the steering system is in good condition with grease fittings on all joints. The suspension system is in good condition. There are grease fittings on the control arm bushings and ball joints. The rear leaf springs were replaced along with rear coil over shocks. Front shocks were replaced. Brake shoes and wheel cylinders were replaced along with brake lines as required. The power brake booster was rebuilt and the master cylinder was replaced. A new stainless steel exhaust system was installed. A new fuel tank comes with the car. Paint was stripped and the car was repainted the original Glacier Blue at a cost of over $10k. The paint was wet sanded meaning NO orange peal. Much of the aluminum trim was sent out for repair and polishing, some of which has been installed. The bumpers have been replated along with some other trim. A nice set of spinner wheel covers come with the car. The interior needs assembly. The bucket seats and rear seat to be installed have been recovered including new foam. New door and rear seat panels come with the car. The floor pan has been covered with sound deadening material. The heating chamber was removed, cleaned, painted and reinstalled with a new heater core. The power window motors, regulators and switches have been rebuilt and need to be installed with the windows which are all in very nice condition. The power window wiring and a new relay have been installed. The door latches were removed, cleaned, greased and reinstalled. A new padded dash, new ignition switch and light switch come with the car. This is NOT a finished car but it will be a beautiful car when completed. THIS IS A CAR FOR SOMEONE WITH THE TIME AND ABILITY TO COMPLETE THE RESTORATION. I WILL NOT ship the car via a commercial shipper as there are many parts to be shipped also. THE BUYER MUST PICKUP THE CAR IN PERSON AND MAKE COD PAYMENT AND I WANT ALSO TO GO OVER THE PARTICULARS OF THE CAR AT THAT TIME. Do to my back injury, I will not be able to assist in loading parts. The car runs and drives so it can be loaded onto the buyer's trailer and there will also be a space requirement for the many parts. Connecticut does not issue titles for cars older than 1981 per Connecticut Statute section 14-166 so the car will be sold with a bill of sale and a copy of the CT registration and statute 14-166.
