This R50/2 starts easily with a single, firm kick, and has spent the last two years happily traveling the hills and curves of northeast Georgia. The first owner purchased the bike in Connecticut and owned it for 20 years (original title available). The second owner, also from same region of Connecticut, rode it about 3,000 miles in 30 years. He had the engine completely rebuilt by BMW master mechanic Phil Cheney of Cliff's BMW (now Max BMW) in 2005 and then put less than 500 miles on it. It was kept in climate-controlled storage for 10 years. The third owner (current) purchased the bike and had it shipped to Georgia in 2015. It has been ridden about 1,300 miles since it arrived (i.e. rebuilt motor has less than 2,000 miles total). New items include Hella turn signals and a sealed battery. Cosmetics and chrome are great; engine protected by Fehling guards. Bike features original paint and even has decal from dealership. It rides well and can attain a speed of 80 mph (up to 84 mph going downhill and tucked in)! Buyer will receive a Bill of Sale, original leather Denfeld bags and rack, and smiles for miles.
