For sale is a 1968 Dodge Polara 500 convertible. I have owned this car since 1989. It used to be my everyday car. I even drove it to Florida and back in 1991. Over the years I didn't drive it much, and then I put it in a garage and never got around to it. I always planned on restoring it. It was such a fun car to drive. It needs a complete restoration. The frame needed some welding in the rear near the leaf springs. Assume it needs everything. I planned on doing a complete restoration, but as I got older with small children running around, I simply couldn't devote any time to it. For a car enthusiast with a shop and some spare time it would be perfect. It's mostly original, but the original 8 track radio was removed for a different radio years ago. It would be a shame if I had to bring this to the junkyard. Car is located in Albany, NY, 12208. By the way, that last picture of the car clean and shiny was when I owned it and drove it back in the day.On May-16-17 at 20:32:38 PDT, seller added the following information: I just added an engine compartment picture as well as me holding the original carburetor. I bought it from the old Underpass Motors on Central Ave in Albany. I bought it on 12/18/1989. The odometer disclosure statement reads 41,407 miles back then. The VIN is DM27G8D254112. The VIN above in the ad is incorrect. Somehow my phone number is in that box. One person asked me if I had a "build sheet" and a "certi card". I must admit that I don't even know what those things are, so the answer is obviously "no".
