Vehicle Detail
This is a rare all original w112 300SE long with factory manual transmission and the famous M189 engine, harder to find as a coupe or convertible, only 1,546 were built. This Mercedes is matching numbers. The fuel system is cleaned, got also a new ( oem ) fuel pump, filter, and hoses. The engine is running, I can send a video of the engine running. Unfortunately the water pump is leaking. The air compressor works but all 4 airbags are bad. You need to restore the body and interior. Be aware before you you bid on it, its an expensive, restoration the advantage is the engine transmission and axles are good. It's a good investment for the future with good profit. If you collect Mercedes, this is probably the model which is missing "the first S-Class". It comes with an additional car a W111 (no engine and transmission ) same year no rust only in the trunk so you will have some of the body parts for restoration. See pictures if you have any questions call me 5755510200 or email me. All chrome is there. You can be the only one with this model at the mercedes car meeting. On May-14-17 at 08:24:30 PDT, seller added the following information: See below for answers to some of the questions I received about the car: The car is matching number, I checked every number, axles, engine, and transmission, it is the same on the data card. For this model, it's the 1st gen M189 engine with the 2 stamp injection pump 160HP, the transmission is a 4 speed manual on the floor. I do have all oem keys who came with the car. The rear bench comes with the car I only took it out for the photo. The last registration was 1979, it belonged to the principal of an Alamogordo school. The floor pans are good. The first 4 inch of the rocker rail need to be replace the botton of the doors are rusted out and under the brake booster is a smaller rust hole. I can send detailed photos of the rust spots. The VIN of the W111 is 11101212087910 delivery date was the 2 Nov 1963 in Dallas the selling dealer was Von Henkle Mtr Co. they sold it to a doctor of Texarkana. I do have the original data card for the 220s the only special options on this car are power steering a larger heater core and the 140 paintcode. The doors are good as well as the front end, the floor of the trunk is rusted. If you don't need the W111 I'll take off $400 of the purchasing price. The W112 has a clean title, the W111 a bonded title, both titles are in my name. I do know the name of the principal and the doctor, so if someone is interested in history, just shot me an email. https://youtu.be/VVOdqVtQBfw I speak also German.
