1956 MERCURY CUSTOM -- silver and grey 2 dr htBODY -- this car has no rust -- a solid bodyENGINE & TRANSMISSION -- engine runs and starts up every time -- does not leak or use oil -- transmission shifts as it should -- THE DUAL EXHAUST SOUNDS GREAT - not too loud - just right for a 50's vehicle -- the tires and wheels are brand new POWER STEERING AND BRAKES -- this car has neither one -- it steers OK when moving -- just keep in mind it has NO POWER STEERING - the brakes work fine.EXTERIOR CHROME -- all the emblems and stainless is in good condition -- also this vehicle has all the emblems on it -- the bumpers front and rear are only driver quality ( no dings or dents just original and old ) BOTH THE VENT WINDOW FRAMES are pitted -- they need to be re-chromed as well as the vent window glass is discoloring -- the windshield and the rest of the glass is in top condition PAINT -- this paint looks good in pictures but up close it could use a good color sand and buff -- there is a spot on the roof where the paint is blistering in a small area -- there are also a few small chips in the paint -- nothing serious however is does need to be mentionedINTERIOR - custom mercurys in 56 had the cheapest of all interiors -- this car is no exception -- it is plain but clean -- the headlights work - the horn works - the wipers work - the turn signals work -- the radio is aftermarket - never tried itKEEP IN MIND this is a big investment for some people so i have tried to explain exactly what this car is -- if you have any further questions feel free to call 702-401-3344JUST letting all bidders know the reserve is set very low for this auction -- keep in mind mercurys are very expensive to restore -- this will be a great buy for someone SHIPPING -- buyer is responsible for all shipping costs --
