Inventory # 10024 Location: Brunswick, GA General Description: This 1998 45' Morgan 45 Center Cockpit Sloop was partially submerged during Hurricane Matthew when rubber hose supplying water to port marine toilet failed. Water level appears to be approximately 9” above salon sole. All the sole hatches are swollen and a waterline is evident throughout the vessel. Hull in fair condition for age with shiny gelcoat. The hull sides painted finish was found in fair condition. It showed typical "wear and tear", acceptable. Noted minor cosmetic scratches in several areas. The hull sides were percussion sounded and inspected from ground level while in dry dock and no areas of suspect were found. Machinery space showed metal corrosion, battery submersion and submersion of various electrical components. Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel at time of inspection. Other: AC: Marine Air, 12,000 BTU, appeared in fair condition, not tested. Boom, aluminum, in good condition Bow nav light broken Cockpit or Helm station in good condition, single pedestal Deck, white with non skid, in fair condition for age. Gauges and controls, Morgan, appeared in fair condition for age Keel: shallow draft long fin keel and skeg hung spade rudder, general fairness good, surface condition is good, gelcoat is white with blue boot top, condition good, blue bottom coat and slight sheer. Lifelines & Stanchions: stainless steel tubular rail and stanchion system surrounds the cockpit area, in good condition. 1" tubular stainless steel stanchions (appear secure), with separate bases and a two tier vinyl coated intact white 5/16" stranded stainless steel wire lifeline system (wires are free from damage) with boarding gate (function properly). Turnbuckles lubricate, pinned, and taped. Mast: Aluminum Masthead sloop, Keel stepped, in good condition Roller furling not unfurled, appears in good condition Rudder: Rudder to skeg mount in need of maintenance Sails: Roller furling Main / Roller furling Genoa. Sails were not unfurled while the boat was on the hard. Swim ladder, folding aft, in good condition Swim platform, sugar scoop, in good condition Toe rail, aluminum, in good condition Transom: Marine plywood core FRP laminate transom, fitted with outboard gate access. Reinforced, FRP transom design, in good condition. Washdown: raw water, in anchor locker, appeared in good condition. Water heater appeared in fair condition, 6 gallon with corrosion around the bottom. Wheel & Binnacle in good condition Winches in fair condition, Lewmar # 16 mast; #54 (@) on coaming, # 40(2) on the dog house. Not load up all operate smoothly by hand. Windows: Hull side ports are crazed. 9’ West inflatable dinghy and small outboard on deck included. Neither dinghy nor outboard tested. Make/model of outboard unknown. Florida 6% state sales tax will apply for Florida residents. Storage charges will accrue after the 10 day grace period. Loading fees will apply if no trailer included. Buyer is responsible for loading fees. No boat stands included. Hull Material: Fiberglass Height: Beam: 13.75 Displacement: 25225 Draft: 6.5 Engines: Single Yanmar 4JH2E Inboard Diesel Engine. Unknown if engine submerged or preserved. Oil Levels were within the dipstick marks. Visual inspection of engine oil showed that it was free of diesel fuel odor, visible metal particles and water born contaminants. No olfactory or volumetric evidence of fuel migration. Water not sighted in the oil. No battery, no power, no key, unable to test, condition unknown.Water intrusion visible, most of the engine and transmission shows signs of corrosion. Transmission: Kanzaki 1 5/16 stainless steel shaft, shows corrosion bronze packing gland, not tested, condition unknown. Generator / Battery: There is no generator. Batteries submerged, Battery boxes showed with water at time of inspection, in poor condition, appear in fair condition but not tested. C Charger 5000 Series 40 Amp. Electronics: Raytheon Ray 201 VHF, Ritchie compass, Auto Helm depth , wind, indicator, Garmin GPSmap 1040xs, Autohelm GPS, Autohelm ST 7000 Auto pilot. No power to test. Appears to be in fair condition. Galley: Galley with sink, Goldstar Microwave, Adler Barbour top loading refrigerator, Princess 3 burner stove, Princess oven LPG. Galley countertop and gunwale show water damage. No appliances tested. Salon with wood interior, dinette with opposite settee, forward V-berth and aft stateroom and head. Forward V-berth cedar closet shows water damage. Master escape hatch does not close properly. Master suite aft transom window shows water damage. Teak/holly flooring shows water damage. Doors are sticking on the vessel from water damage. Upholstery, blue velvet shows some water damage, in poor to fair condition. Mattress shows some water damage. Headliner in good condition. Salon liner lighting shows water damage. Ground Tackle: Lewmar Vertical Gypsy Windlass appeared in good condition, not tested. Canvas, Mast Rigging, Sails: Fully enclosed cockpit canvas/isinglass cover in fair condition, aged. Head: Two heads with sink, vanity, shower, and manual marine toilets, not tested. Shipping: Item sold "where is". Assistance with shipping is generally available; however, buyer is responsible for costs of preparing item for shipment and charges for loading vessel onto trailer or transport. Inspection of items, errors in description The winning bidder ("buyer") is allowed an inspection period to verify that the item substantially complies with the published description. A buyer who has inspected an item prior to final bid shall be deemed to have accepted the condition of the item at the time of the inspection but may reserve inspection following close of the auction only as to any changes in the item between the time of the initial inspection and a subsequent inspection made within the time for voiding the sale as set forth herein. The time period for voiding the sale and giving notice to USauctions of such ends the earlier of the time buyer ships or otherwise takes possession of the item, 24 hours following actual inspection of the item or 10 days following close of the auction. In the event there is a material difference between the item and the item description and buyer desires to void the sale, buyer shall so notify USauctions by email or by fax to (800) 385-8566 prior to the end of the time period set forth. When picking up vessels, Buyer shall make necessary arrangements with the boat yard where the vessel is located with not less than 24 hours notice before picking up a vessel to ensure the vessel is cleared for transport, any storage liens are paid, any necessary equipment is available and the vessel is not blocked in. Buyer assumes risk of loss of the item as of the earlier of the time buyer's right to void the sale terminates or the time buyer acquires insurance on the vessel. In the event Buyer fails to remove items in a timely manner, daily storage fees may be charged at the sales location and/or the items may be removed and stored at buyer's risk and expense. Delivery of title For titled items, delivery of free and clear title shall be the responsibility of the owner of the item. General processing time of titles is 4 to 6 weeks. In the event the item owner fails to deliver free and clear title to buyer in a timely manner, Buyer shall have the option of voiding the sale or of seeking specific performance directly against the item owner. USauctions shall have no liability to buyer or the item owner for failure to deliver free and clear title to buyer beyond refund of funds collected by USauctions to the parties entitled thereto, upon return of the item in substantially the condition sold.
