Vehicle Detail
1977 Suzuki TS185 Sierra. Color is a copperish orange, with antique white fenders. The tires are old but still in good shape (The 3 digit DOT code shows they were made either in 1976, 1986, or 1996, so its possible they are the original tires). Bike starts right up and runs with alot of zip and power. This is a 2-stroke, and the oil injection works as it should, and you do not need to mix oil with the gas. I use strictly non-ethanol gas to prevent carb. issues. The odometer and speedometer work fine, but the tachometer reads high when idling (probably a bad internal spring in tach.) Gas tank is solid, with no rust on the bottom, and was coated inside many years ago. Seat has one small tear which has been repaired with some type of plastic repair coating, there is one small stress mark on the side of the seat, and underneath it is in great shape. The aluminum rims are in great shape and have a good shine. Chain and sprockets are in great shape. Exhaust pipe is in excellent shape from front to back, and has fresh baffle packing in the rear tip. The front inspection decal shows that it was last registered for road use in 1979. The lights work, but the turn signals do not flash (needs a new flasher). Battery is new, and the stator charges the battery as it should. The output shaft (behind sprocket) seal was leaking and replaced, and new transmission oil added. Brakes work fine, and the bike shifts up and down into all gears with no issues. Great old classic Suzuki that should run for many more years. The title was lost many years ago, so the buyer will only get a bill of sale. Ebay does not give the option to show "title lost" in the listing, so there is no "clear title". Winning bidder is required to submit a payment of $500 for the deposit within 48 hours, and can use Paypal. The balance can be paid in cash upon pick-up, or a certified check sent a week before pick-up. Seller will be glad to assist with loading bike.
