For auction is a 1991 Mercedes 300D 2.5 Turbo for sale. Car over heated and after consulting with some local mechanics, I was told that the head gasket had to be replaced. Well, I decided to change the head gasket, HG bolts, water pump, followers (lifters) myself and had the head cylinder machined and new valve stems installed by a machine shop. However, it appears that I didn't do a good because after putting everything back together, the car still over heats, there is white smoke from the tail pipe as well as oil leaks on the driver's side of the engine. Therefore, I am selling it as is. I no longer have interest in repairing or keeping it because I am now interested in a totally different model. Although the car has some issues, it still starts and to the best of my knowledge, it has no rust. Car comes with stock wheels and NOT the AMG Monoblocks.
