The customer is responsible for registering the vehicle in their home state. What is the Dealer Processing Fee? The Dealer Processing Fee or DPF is an elective charge to compensate for unreimbursed dealership costs and various additional consumer services. For example, buying fee, transporting, reconditioning, marketing, processing sales documents, postage, clerical work, notary, obtaining credit checks, verifying personal checks, securing power of attorney authorization, tracking lost titles, determining trade-in payoffs, registering for consumer related services, processing buyer guides, insurance forms and other miscellaneous fees and it is a considerable portion of the dealer’s cost, it allows us to give our customers the best service possible and it can't be waived under any circumstances.
