This is a No Reserve auction. High bidder at the end, owns the bike. Please read the listing carefully before bidding. Bidders with zero, under 50 , or negative feedback need to contact me first prior to bidding or I may cancel your bid. It takes time and money to list a bike and I want the transaction to go smoothly for all parties involved. $500 non refundable deposit due via Paypal immdeiately at auctions end and the remainder of the balance is due within 5 days of auctions end via bank wire, cashiers check, or cash in person. I will not take Paypal for full payment. This is a good matching numbers , running and riding 1978 Triumph T140E Bonneville. The bike was bought as a project of sorts and Ive run out of room and desire to mess with it, so Im offering it up for sale here at a great deal. The bike needs little if anything to be road worthy. It mainly needs a little detailing and touch up to make it look its best. There are many new parts on the bike such as the fresh British racing green paint with new tank badges. It has a new complete exhaust system from the head pipes to the mufflers and clamps. The front forks have new seals and new fork boots. The side covers have been changed to the older t120 style. The Dunlop K70 front tire is new and the rear tire looks like new. All the brake hoses have been replaced and the front caliper has new seals. The brakes work ok, but need to be bled a bit more to make them stop their best as they seem soft. The bike has a corbin seat and the original can be included if requested but the foam is very soft and some seams need attention. The bike has aftermarket PWK carbs that seem to do well from what I can tell. Ive only ridden the bike about 15-20 miles and it seemed to do everything as it should. The chrome on the wheels and fenders do have some pitting in spots as does the headlight. The clutches are new as is the clutch cable. The lever is a reproduction and feels a bit stiff, but may just need some adjustment. The speedometer is currently not working and Im unsure if its the cable, drive, or speedo. All in all its a nice triumph that doesnt need much at all. A few hours cleaning and another couple of hours bleeding brakes and sorting a few small things out on the bike, and you should be ready for anything. I just have too many other bikes I need to be working on, so this one needs to go. The bike does have a clear TN title in my name that will be released when the bike is picked up and all funds have cleared. There is no warranty expressed or implied. It is a 39 year old motorcycle and a local inspection is welcomed and recommended prior to bidding. Please look at the pictures closely and ask any and all questions before bidding. As stated above a $500 non refundable deposit is due immediately at the auctions end and the remainder within 5 days via bank wire, cashiers check, or cash in person. Bike must be picked up within 3 weeks of auctions end or storage fees will apply. Please have an idea of a shipper you plan to use and the costs involved prior to bidding. Foreign bidders please contact me prior to bidding. On Apr-04-17 at 18:47:25 PDT, seller added the following information: It seems my photo hosting site has let me down. Hopefully this will work.
