Vehicle Detail
This Tacoma is a 1st gen. lover's dream. My wife and I have known it and the owner, a very fussy retired school principal, for the last 9 years. He bought it in 2007 with 26,000 miles, maintained it religiously both at the Toyota dealership and local shops, and brought it to us regularly for cleaning/waxing. Having had a number of Tacoma's in the past, I always told him to let us know if he was ever going to sell it. He did, and we bought it. It was bone stock and he had never even pulled a trailer so I went through it and did all of the updates and upgrades I could think of to bring it up to date. My wife wants to keep it for when her Canyon lease is up next year but I have so many projects and 7 vehicles in our personal fleet so I am compromising by running this for 20 days and if it doesn't sell we will keep it and sell my something else. Most of you Tacoma nuts will know why I did the things I did and if you don't just google them. All of this stuff is fresh with less than 50 miles. At the price listed I am losing a ton on parts and all of my labor but I want to keep it fair and it's only $200 over NADA book. If you think it is too much feel free to do all of this to a cheaper one and see where you end up. 2004 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4x4 with TRD package *3.4L V6 *Auto Trans *88,000 miles *Power windows, Locks, Mirrors *Dealer added hitch, wiring, 4 way plug *ARE topper since new *Toyota rubber bed mat *Toyota all weather floor mats with factory carpet mats included *Stacks of service records and receipts from the Toyota dealer and local shops. Even a meticulous mileage log from 2007 to when we bought it. Besides regular maintenance he had the trans flushed with synthetic at Toyota when he bought it and at 48,000 miles had the trans, transfer case, front and rear diffs changed to Amsoil. Front brakes recently done. Updates: We sell trailers so much of this was done for if we keep it and use it to pick up the smaller ones. *"Green" towing fan clutch upgrade *B&M HD trans cooler *All 3 drive belts replaced *Coolant drained and replaced *140 amp alternator upgrade *7way/4way trailer plug in the rear *Led rear flood lights under bumper switch activated. I added the 4 switches in the lower center dash, the other 3 are still unused *Trailer brake control where the ashtray was *Kenwood double din deck with bluetooth, phone mic, remote control *Pioneer 10" sub with Pioneer 250w mono amp under pass seat. *Pyle backup camera over existing rear view mirror. With 3 tinted windows behind it the rear view mirror was pretty useless anyway. *New front tinted windows with a windshield strip Frame and suspension. Since I wanted to replace the sagging springs (common on all and especially with a topper) and shoot the frame, I removed the bed to make it easier. *Replaced sagging progressive rate TRD springs with new constant rate Moog spring/strut assemblies *Replaced rear springs with General Springs stock replacement and Monroe Sensatrac shocks *Rear axle relocation plates installed to move axle forward 3/4" and center the rear wheels in the wheel well. Yeah this bugs me on Tacomas. *CBI frame reinforcement plates welded to the rear frame rails *Frame and skid plates sprayed with bed liner *Inside of boxed frame section sprayed with Eastwood Internal Frame Coating until it was running out of every weep hole *Underside (outer) section of under body sprayed with 3m undercoating *The rest of suspension and new springs sprayed with Rustolium satin black *New Ultra Mongoose rims with new 265/75/16 Kumho AT51s *Alignment
