Vehicle Detail
1998 Pontiac Sunfire This car always has been reliable and run well. I bought this car in 2000 & drove it back and forth to work every day. Yes, in its present condition it is what a person drives when there is not enough money to support elegance. However it will indeed get you back and forth to work & the gas mileage is nearly 30 mpg. I did inherit my father's old Toyota station wagon and that car does serve me better for transporting large dogs, supplies for my horses & my estate sale finds. Note this Pontiac Sunfire is very well dented. About 2 years ago I really got walloped on the the passenger side. I had the vehicle repaired well enough that the passenger door opens enough to allow entry by a thin person who can contort himself. However the door will not open all the way. Valuing my wallet more than my image while driving, I continued driving the car as it is for another year after that accident. If the fender was bent out a little more that problem could be rectified. Note there also is a dent on the drivers side & a chip out of the plastic trim over the backlit "Pontiac" emblem. There also is rust around lower edges of doors. Except for very slow small leaks in power steering fluid & oil, all the fluids hold. What prevents this car being driven away without someone following is the braking system. I dealt with a slow leak of brake fluid for approximately a year, but now the fluid I add seems to go nowhere. I assume the problem is indeed the master brake cylinder needing repair or replacement ... but if you are unconcerned buying a car in this condition you may indeed be handy enough to diagnose & repair the problem yourself. I can move the car around the yard safely enough. By pressing the brake pedal all the way to floor, the car will indeed stop at slow speeds. However if you want to get this car to a nearby garage or home for repair, you will need someone to follow you in another car during low traffic hours, or have it towed. Payment & Pickup Please make a $100.00 deposit with PayPal & complete payment with cash. You may pick up the car at my property on the east side of Greenwood Indiana. I cannot deliver this car.
