This report notes three previous title holders. Everything indicates this car has only traveled the recorded 057,000 miles. Look at the driver’s seat, always the first to normally show wear in many other less well-made cars but NOT in this case! The door cards, most of the wood, all excellent and the exterior exceptional with great glass, bright work and paintwork. To confirm, all rubber, glass and trim clean and therefore no evidence of a spray job or overspray. No orange peel, no runs or drips, no evidence of a respray: No filler, no ripples, no rust perforations, no evidence of spraying except to the panel in front of the new windshield. Unfortunately I was called away on a business trip before the listing ended and I was in meetings during that weekend so I was very busy and unaware an offer was waiting for my response. Presumably eBay do not allow communication between seller and buyer after the listing has ended because I tried via the software to reconnect but it would not allow me to reply to the prospective buyer. My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Also, please note I consider my car ‘superior’ to many advertised cars nationally. Cars that are thirty-one years old are rarely perfect unless they were never used and stored, or rebuilt from the chassis up. I am not an engineer so I can only report to the car’s drivability and reliability. I confirm that I have enjoyed comfortable, reliable and distinguished transport. The car does NOT smoke, burn or drop engine oil; it does NOT leak any fluids on the road; it is slightly ‘damp’ under the steering pump reservoir and therefore needs a tiny-top-up every six months --- negligible therefore hardly worth mentioning; so I use the car as my primary transport and for long distances as mentioned above. Purchasing a car on the Internet must be a daunting process. It is always best to view the car or have someone look at it for you. I’ve only sold two other cars via eBay and in both cases the buyers were extremely pleased with their purchase because these cars were very good cars. I cannot offer a warranty with my Jaguar because cars have an approximate average of over 2,000 components and when cars get used and get older one can expect that sometime some parts may cease to function but that does not mean the car will fail to reach its destination. You may be able to buy a similar car with more mileage and in a less than satisfactory condition for less money. That’s always an option of course.
