The bumper, grille, hood, LED Headlights, left fender and fog lights were replaced and repainted. Paint matches perfect. All repairs have been completed professionally. This 2016 Lexus IS200T looks and drives excellent. A bumper to bumper inspection has been done and this great car passed just fine. What is a Rebuilt Salvage Title? Many people are not familiar with the Salvage or Rebuilt title, here is a brief explanation of the "Salvage or Rebuilt Title" terminology. Salvage title means that the insurance company decided not to fix the car and paid off the owner. I thought salvage title cars are "totaled"? By declaring a car "Total Loss” Insurance Company is taking themselves out of any liability issues in the future. Does that means the car is totaled, not always. Sometimes the car has minor damage but the parts are very expensive. Sometimes the owner does not want to get the vehicle repaired and depending on the Insurance Company and the year of the car, Insurance will pay off the owner. If the car gets stolen then Insurance has thirty days to recover the vehicle, if the car is not recovered in thirty days, Insurance pays off the owner and once the car is recovered, it is brought to the auction as a Total Loss vehicle even if it did not have any damage on it. We have bought 'Total Loss" cars from Insurance companies with door dings, extremely minor fender bender, theft recovered vehicles with absolutely no damage. In brief Total Loss does not always mean that the car was in a bad wreck or had extensive damage. We do not buy or sell anything with major damage. Do I have to do any additional paperwork if I am buying a vehicle with a Rebuilt Salvage title? Now for Rebuilt title, once the repairs are completed, car is inspected by state for all repairs and a Rebuilt Title is issued, which means that the new owner will not have to get any inspection done, if required by your State, to get the car back on the road. It saves a lot of trouble for buyers as they don’t have to get the car inspected or fill out any extra paper work as is the case with Salvage title. Can I get insurance for a Rebuilt Salvage vehicle? You can get insurance on a rebuilt salvage vehicle. Can I register a rebuilt salvage vehicle in another state? This will be no different than any other car. Rebuilt Salvage cars will register and transfer like any other car. How can I get a rebuilt title with this vehicle? If your State requires a rebuilt title for registration we will provide a rebuilt title with the sale.
