Car caught on fire when throttle linkage broke. Fire was put out quickly so damage was contained to the engine area of the car. Car ran great prior to the fire. Would likely need to repair throttle linkage, rebuild carbonator, replace air cleaner, hoses, belt, and rewire. New manual transmission and clutch was recently installed to replace the stock auto shift transmission. A great project car for someone interested in VW Bugs.
