*** READ MY TERMS BELOW, ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE ASKED BEFORE YOU BID, MAKE AN OFFER, OR HIT BUY IT NOW!! I DO NOT TOLERATE BUYER'S REMORSE, YOUR BID IS BINDING!! ***Vehicle is listed for sale outside of eBay so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. If you are interested, message me. The only trade I would consider is for an early to mid 90's Toyota Land Cruiser FJZ80 4x4 in the $4K to $10K range, plus cash on your end. 1997 Chassis/Tub Original Mileage: 159,594Engine Mileage Since Rebuild in 2012: 4,299Transmission & Transfer Case Mileage Since Rebuild in 2015: 1,100Suspension Lift Components, Axles & All Their Components Mileage Since Rebuild 2012 - 2014: 1,000 to 4,299 This rig was built by the prior two owners a few years ago. They were meticulous with everything they did. Even though used pretty much as a trail rig, it is still street legal and passed inspection in MO and TX and has current TX plates and registration. Never been hassled by any cop in a multi state area due to size of tires, fenders not fully covering tires, or lift effecting headlight height. I have a Clean TX Title and CarFax in hand. *** NOTE *** This BEAST of a rig is not for the mechanically challenged (unless you have a great trustworthy mechanic to do your duties) or for a teen or a woman (if she has no on or off road experience with a lifted rig with wide axles, wide 40" + tires, and a Full Spool rear end as it is not a toy and does not drive like a Lexus or a stock dinky Jeep Wrangler of any era. Whether at low speed or high, it requires RESPECT, attention, alertness, and knowledge of how it handles in relation to a normal car. Act like a dumba$$ in this rig and you will definitely pay for it, quite possibly with your life. This is a 1997 JEEP Wrangler SE (converted to a 4.0L 6 CYL SPORT) stretched to an LJ 103" Magical Wheelbase sitting on 40x17's with 20" of ground clearance at the center skid plate.Comes with 2 used Black Factory Soft Tops & Frames with Clear & Tinted rear & side windows, metal half doors, soft door uppers w/ windows, two sets of plastic upper door surrounds w/ knobs and a partial top.For being 20 years old now, but pretty much completely rebuilt, it runs/drives perfectly w/ no issues. No death wobble, shimmy, shake, or pulling due to the heavy duty front end steering and suspension components being built to match the 40" tires. You can steer it with one finger on the highway, and you can let go of the wheel on the interstate at 65mph. I steer it with my knee during times where both hands are busy. It tracks true and straight and the ride is smooth due to the axles being stretched. For its size and riding on 40's, it has impeccable on & off road manners. It has a ton of torque due to the motor & transmission/transfer case rebuild. You can easily chirp the tires if you get on it. The farthest I've driven it (Interstate) is five hours. I drove on I-10 and easily made it over the huge bridge in Lake Charles as well as the Miss River Bridge in Baton Rouge. I do about 55-60mph on the highway and interstate around town. I have multiple cars, so I don't daily drive it, but I do drive it to and from work a few days a week and on the weekends. With that being said, its more than capable of being a daily driver. Top end speed with the 5:13 gears, 40" tires, and 3-Speed Trans is about 70mph or so. At that speed you're pushing 3,000 RPM's. The inline 4.0L is more than capable of revving to much higher RPM's for a prolonged period on the highway. But at 3,000+ RPM's on the highway/interstate it guzzles the gas. With an alternate set of smaller tires it would easily achieve higher speeds on the interstate and better MPG. But that's what a Prius is for! The speedo is off by about 6mph using GPS on my phone. Turning radius is tight due to the 40's and the rear locker. Backing up can be tricky with the massive tires, spare tire carrier blocking your view, and rear locker. Once you get the hang of it, she's a breeze to park though. I back in to my parking spots wherever I go. Add a rear view camera and monitor and it would be easier. Heater cranks and so does the A/C. Every once in awhile the fan blower motor can be intermittent on the 4th (highest) setting. It's common in TJ's. I run it topless 24/7 so not much need for either. ABS Brakes and Airbags have been disconnected! Driver Airbag is intact but stock steering wheel has been removed and replaced with an aftermarket wheel. Passenger Airbag is just disconnected. You do get the Airbag warning light on the dash. All lights and accessories work. With the 4-Wheel Disc Brakes, it stops quickly. You can lock up the 40's no problem if needed. Since the rear axle was stretched backwards, an XJ leaf spring added, and riding on 40's, the gas tank was relocated backwards and upwards into the frame. In addition, the fuel nozzle has been relocated to the rear end by the tailgate. This is all common on a stretched wheelbase TJ build. It's a 15 gallon tank if I recall, and it has a fully enclosed steel Rock Crawler skid plate around the entire tank. In the future I was thinking of adding a custom Drake Offroad Performance Billet Aluminum Filler Neck Hose & Cap system. Its a trick set-up. Due to the above mentioned, and the Corbeau BAJA rear seat, the rear storage area is cut in half as far as volume goes. You still have decent storage room, enough for 3 duffle bags back there. At times, I keep a medium tool bag, large winch recovery bag, and large backpack in the storage area no problem. This Jeep is a true Rock Crawler and not a typical Barbie Mall Crawler. So the body, interior, and rollcage paint has some small nicks, scratches, and gouges. Mainly by the door hinge pins, hood hinge pins, and where the soft top frame rubs on the siderail because of the addition of the full Rock Crawler roll cage bars. The color is Ford Grabber Blue, it still looks great in most areas and holds a nice shine. Original color was White. Since this rig has actually been used offroad to do serious off roading and rock crawling (never been in mud pits), it does have some dents in the windshield pillar. If you want perfect paint, go buy a new Wrangler. You'd have to spend $33K on top of the cost of a new or used Wrangler, to get to where this rig is. The top, doors, and surrounds all install fine, but on the right side by the upper windshield pillar its a tight fit with the soft top door and pillar. The door opens and shuts fine. Other than that, the body and frame are straight and in great shape. No rot or rust. It has steel half doors and soft upper doors. It was originally an SE 4 CYL model, and when the original motor and transmission died in early 2012 they were scrapped and the factory stock Jeep was then converted into a fully built 4.0L 6 CYL SPORT Rock Crawler. It's still Titled as an SE w/ a 4 CYL though. Up to you how you want to insure it. I have a bunch of spare parts that will be included in a sale. Parts like a spare axle hub, rubber tubing and fittings for a future Locker or Air hose fitting on front bumper, Lava exhaust wrap, OEM steering wheel & airbag, Tuffy steel shifter console (I just converted a factory plastic center console to fit with the Tuffy lock boxes), various soft top hardware & parts, generic SUV dust cover, and other small things I may be forgetting. One of the cool things is its actually able to fit into a standard home garage without airing down the 40" tires or having to temporarily compress the suspension. The CB antenna will hit but it bends easily and is also removable. As you know, jacking up a Jeep to obscene heights doesn't really do much, especially off road. This rig was optimally built to run with the 40's or smaller. From the ground to the bottom of the belly skid plate is 20" ground clearance. I don't know the actual lift height. I'm guessing around 6" over stock. With the custom SuperLift Long Arm kit, its all neatly tucked up into the frame and skidplate. So there is not a lot of 'crap' hanging below the frame like on most Long Arm kits, which only serves in getting you hung up or stuck altogether. That's why this rig has such a bad a$$ stance and look to it. There are some receipts included (including part #'s for brakes, transfer case, etc), but not much. The pics tell the story, and I have many more. The rig runs & drives as good as it looks. You always hear people say their nice car/truck/bike that's for sale always gets looks & compliments wherever they go and not to buy it if you like attention. Ha, this rig is a whole 'nother level. I get guys driving their $70K Jeep Wrangler JK Mall Crawlers with 4" lift and all the decals, LED lightbars, Chinese Smittybilt apocalypse weaponry, 24" wheels, and 37" lo-pro mud tires do all kinds of NASCAR evasive maneuvers to avoid being anywhere around me at a red light. Its like seeing the Titanic next to the S.S. Minnow. This rig will routinely beat Wranglers costing three times as much in Car Shows. Its got the proper bada$$ look for a JEEP, and it commands respect on the road, even to the boys driving their $70K Diesel pick ups w/ 8" lift. This thing sits high, I'm 6' 3" and can see into the cabs of 18 wheelers. I have the seats as low as they will go right now. You can raise them a good bit though. They are adjustable with nuts on the bolt style legs. The prior owner was 5'3" and he had them raised almost to the top and could see just fine. They also slide forward and rearward. Due to the Tuffy lockbox and seatbelt arms, it can be tough to slide them at times. They need silicone sprayed on them every so often. I have plenty of leg room to comfortably drive it for hours. It's a JEEP that sits more than it moves, so of course it has small fluid leaks, none of which require refills on no more than a semi annual basis. If needs to be driven more. Unless otherwise stated, I primarily sell either used, or vintage items. My prices, photos, and descriptions reflect that fact and therefore items will show signs of wear and are not brand new, nor do they function as brand new unless otherwise specified. For those of you unfamiliar with what that means here are the definitions, used adj. Not new; secondhand: a used car secondhand adj. 1. Previously used by another; not new 2. Dealing in previously used merchandise I apologize for being so strict, but I must follow PayPal policies in order to be protected due to the MANY scammers out there. In addition, there are MANY not so bright bidders that think if they buy a USED item for less than new retail price on Ebay, that it will be in brand new condition and that is simply not the case. My prices and descriptions reflect this fact! There are also MANY unscrupulous bidders that try to return won items (bait and switch) under false pretenses. If you are one of those bidders do not bid on my items because I DO NOT play your games. All bidders should treat Ebay as a cyber garage sale. There is an inherent risk when virtually buying used items on Ebay.
