1972 Volkswagen Bus Type 2/Bay Window 7-Passenger - Price is very low and very firm! I WAS TOLD YOU CAN FINANCE A CLASSIC VW BUS with these two lenders. woodsidecredit and jjbest I bought this last year from the school teacher owners of 5 years that used as a daily driver. The bus had been well taken care of and was maintained by a local VW/Porsche shop. This is a hard to find European Bus in the Original Neptune Blue paint; pictures purposely show no rubber mats which come with the bus) so you can see the floorboards and rear area are all original panels and free of rust. I was told the 1700cc Dual Carb engine was rebuilt and it has good compression to support that; as well as the heater cables and rear axle were replaced. I had a VW mechanic from a very well known shop here in San Diego go through the bus and he rebuilt the two carbs, tuned-up the engine, adjusted the valves, brakes and basically went through the bus to make sure all was sorted out.Bus starts right up, drives and shifts well and goes down the freeway at 70mph. I then had a new headliner installed and was about to reupholster the seats but decided to leave original. The charm of this bus is that it is as it was 45 years ago; while there may have been some touch up and body work done; it wears its original paint. The red paint coming through shows that this slider door panel was replaced from a donor bus at some point as these tend to fall off. All the windows are the original including the windshield which a rock hit it so there is a star crack that can be repaired. The bus comes with a new stereo with 6x9 speakers to fill the holes in the doors. This bus just needs a new family to use it and drive it as lovingly as the last family. I am selling because I have collected many classics and my daughter is getting ready for college and my cars are going to fund some of it. I am selling at a VERY fair price so that someone can enjoy this rare Volkswagen bus. Bus will be sold with a Washington State clean title.
