Vehicle Detail

This is a 2000 Expedition with almost every option but leather. It has the XLT package, four wheel drive, automatic transmission, rear air/heat, third row seat, tinted windows, cd changer, power windows-locks-mirrors, cruise, seating for eight, cloth interior, power drivers seat. This is my son's truck. He bought it a little while ago and drove it home. I just installed a brand new battery and it has two new front tires. The brakes are all good and the rear tires are also good. We brought it to our mechanic for inspection and he stated it needs the following to pass inspection;Front windshield, o2 sensors, evap sensor, exhaust leak in evap tube and muffler, and universal joints. I am not a mechanic so I am just going by his opinion. What I can tell you is the truck runs and drives. The transmission shifts properly and the four wheel drive works. The heat also works. Obviously I can't check the A/C system because of the cold. My son does not have the money to get it ready for inspection and I refuse to lend him any more coin. You will have to invest some money to get it ready for inspection. If you are mechanically inclined then you are ahead of the game. Listing the truck for what he paid for it.Some answers to questions:a) Why a small deposit: A small non refundable deposit is required because there are too many non paying bidders out there. If you are a serious buyer than it should not be a problem. The deposit basically covers the listing fee.b) Can you do better on price: No! selling it for what we paid for it. Also it is worth $400 at the boneyard. Do the math, .08-.09 cents per pound on a 5000 pound truck. If you think you can buy a running/driving full size 4x4 for less then God bless.c) Can I drive it home: That is your decision not mine. If you want to drive I have no objections. Bear in mind that you must comply with the VTL.d) Obviously a $699 truck is sold as is/where is.e) Clear title in hand.I will hold the truck for two weeks while you make your pickup arrangements. The balance is due in cash, postal money order, or a bank check. Also the truck must be paid for in full before it leaves. Any other questions send me a contact phone number or use the Ebay system.
