I purchased this vehicle on eBay recently from a dealer in Florida. While his description was honest and accurate, this vehicle will not pass smog so cannot be registered in Clark County (Las Vegas) due to it does not have the original factory engine. Be sure to check on your local requirements before bidding! I have driven it less than 1 mile but I can tell you it is a fantastic Jeep! This Jeep is pristine in every way. 2 years and 8000 miles ago a complete frame off restoration was finished. The full length of under the body and firewall is coated with heavy duty bedliner as well as the interior. The frame has no rust whatsoever as can be viewed though access holes on front and rear. The body was then professionally painted using factory White Chrysler paint code. The paint is a 10 out of 10 with no blemishes whatsoever. Interior was completely reupholstered using Best top material, with color match dash and doors. The interior appears mostly stock with the exception of GT Grant steering wheel and Scan Gauge mounting to Steering column that gives a hint of something a little more special about this Jeep than others. All factory gauges work as they should with the exception of Tachometer, however engine revs are monitored using scan gauge. This TJ is powered by a Chevrolet Vortec 4.3 V-6. The motor is still on break in oil (has approx 50 miles on it) and is warrantied for one year or 12000 miles. The updated Spider injection system has been installed that utilizes 6 separate injectors rather than poppet style. Exhaust is handled through shorty headers, to stainless exhaust with Banks Monster muffler giving the Jeep a noticeable exhaust not but far from radical. Gear shifts are handled through a GM 4l60e 4 speed automatic transmission with mild shift kit. A Novak adapter then mounts factory transfer case that has has SYE (Slip yoke Eliminator) installed. The suspension has been upgraded using Skyjacker 4.5 inch Short arm kit. This includes rear sway bar, front sway bar disconnects. The axles are Dana 35 rear limited slip and 4.56 gears, front Dana 30 has locker with 4.56 gears. This axle ratio along with Overdrive transmission works perfectly with the 33 inch BFGoodrich All Terrain Tires on Eagle Alloy Aluminum Wheels. This build was done with a high level of attention to detail. Everything works properly as it should, all wire and hose routing is factory appearing, stainless steel hardware used throughout. Engine Computer neatly placed in center console and still able to access obd2 port. Just little details that show the amount of heart and soul that went into building this one of a kind Jeep TJ. ANSWER: I did not perform the restoration on the Jeep, however I do own a shop and we changed the engine in house (this is mentioned in the walk around video). Due to privacy restrictions I cannot release the previous owner/builders information however I can contact him after the auction ends to ask permission to pass his number to new owner. I can say that he is very well known in the Marine industry and has an extensive mechanical background. Also some of the restoration was outsourced such as paint and body as well as transmission rebuild.
