Thank you. Pete 949 2 8 5 – 8 0 1 1 Exterior wise, the paint and body overall look good and the car stands out in the field of 996 Porsches with the body kit. Overall the body is very straight. Has a few small rock nics on front bumper and a spot where paint has chipped off on lower center of front bumper cover. I would rate paint condition about a 7.5 to 8 out of 10. Convertible top is in good shape with no rips or tears. Rear window is in decent shape and power top functions good (see video). Wheels are 19” with a newer set of Continental Extreme tires. Rear wheels have a 2.5” lip and front about 1” lip. These are great looking wheels and have been told are worth lots of money. The interior is mostly original and in fair shape. Driver and passenger seats are both comfortable to sit in but will need work to make them perfect. Rear seats are both in very good shape. Original carpeting is in good shape with no holes or wear spots. Driver and passenger door panels are both in decent condition with normal wear and tear. Dash looks good. Center console looks good with normal wear and tear of a 18 year old car with these miles as well as the steering wheel. All four power windows work. This was a non smoker car and has no odd smells. AC blows cold and heater warm and LCD on climate control works properly. Mechanically, the car runs and drives but the automatic transmission is slipping. The characteristics of the transmission failure is pushing hard on the gas from a stop makes the transmission badly slip and sends it into failsafe mode which puts it in 4th gear for the rest of the drive. You can drive it around like this to move it but obviously this is just to save the tow fee to mechanic. As you can see in the video, I drive it slowly and it goes through all the gears, but the moment I floor it the car goes into Failsafe. Aside from this, the engine runs good and the car drives smooth. Tires are like new and the car handles good. I have a contact for a transmission for $1000 if interested I can procure this for you.
