UP FOR BID - 1957 Lincoln Premiere Convertible Project w/ Parts Intro: Here is a great project car for someone, a 1957 Lincoln Premiere Convertible comes with a 2dr HT parts car (the yellow parts car has no VIN, and is not complete so sells as parts only - included in a package with the convertible). This Lincoln has lots of great factory options including the auto-greaser!. Excellent sheet metal on the parts car to do the necessary repairs on the convertible. All the seats, and interior parts are there for a pattern. Low production numbers with only 3678 convertibles built in 1957. Body:Overall fairly complete - missing a few parts (front bumper), but 95% there. The car will require rust repair on the rear quarters, rockers, floors, and bottom of the front fenders, but the parts car comes with solid quarter panels, and 1 good rocker panel, as well as a good set of front fenders. Engine/Trans: No engine or trans in the convertible but the parts car comes with an engine and transmission. I also have another one available, this can be negotiated. Chassis:Both cars have complete chassis, and are in solid condition. Both are good for restoration, you would be able to sell what you don't use afterwards. Interior:Very weathered, but there for a pattern. The trim pieces appear to be there, and all of the dash components are there. Top:The top bows and components are all there so it can be restored. Reason for selling:You will see in the background of a few photos a teal colored 2dr HT. I purchased the cars as a package deal for the teal car (not for sale), and I can't possibly restored them both. Conclusion: Overall the car is a full project, but is very restorable, and a rare car. Excellent candidate for a Lincoln enthusiast or for someone to think outside the box for a crazy custom. Only 3678 of these built, when you consider how many damaged, or crushed over the years there are way less than 3678 left out there.
