I purchased this vehicle a week ago from a dishonest eBay seller who did not disclose that the rover has a blown head gasket. Very obvious the head gasket is gone. I’m a traveling construction worker currently on a power plant project in Pennsylvania and living in a hotel so I don’t have the time or the place to change out the gasket. The Land Rover is in Danville, PA. The Land Rover will no doubt need to be towed. I’m pretty sure the front passenger side wheel hub and bearing assembly needs to be replaced and engine obviously misfires due to the blown head gasket. Water and antifreeze are getting into the cylinders and is exiting the exhaust. No water is getting in the oil indicating the heads and block are likely OK. Will start and run to be loaded onto a trailer or dolly. The transmission and transfer case are in good shape, the radiator appears to be fairly new. The Land Rover comes with a box containing some new spare vacuum hoses, a Land Rover maintenance manual, filters and some other misc parts that the previous owner passed on to me. Not sure what all is in it. The owner’s manual is in the glove box. The interior will need to be detailed / cleaned. Another undisclosed tidbit but no big issue is the plastic front bumper looks to me to have been previously repaired. Great deal though for someone with the time and place to fix and flip for a profit or keep. New parts that the previous owner stated put on last month include: Water pump, Oil pump, Crank position sensor, Serpentine belt, Ignition coils, Ignition wires/plugs, Abs pump, and Power steering pump. I have confirmed that these parts are in fact new. This is a no reserve auction. My loss your gain… A $250 non-refundable deposit is due immediately upon winning the auction via PayPal.
