Up for auction at no reserve is this 1981 Chevy Custom Deluxe short bed 2wd pick-up. I bought this truck from the original owners son who had used the truck as a daily driver. The truck is from Tucson AZ so it has never had any rust or rot. This truck has a 4.1 liter 250 Cu Inch straight six that was rebuilt as some time it runs great no smoke or major leaks did leave a dime size spot on floor after sitting for a week motor is quiet and has full exhaust. (MAY NOT PASS EMISSIONS) Truck was originally a 3 speed on the tree but has been moved to the floor. Truck shifts good takes some time to get used too with long shift pattern. This is a bare bones truck no power steering or brakes or A/C. Heater and defrost work great with wipers and all lights. Hazards are missing knob. Truck has two cracks in windshield and slider is missing latch. Interior needs work including dash, seat and steering wheel horn button falls out. Horn does not work. Glove box also needs fixed or replaced bottom hinge is gone it will fall out also. Truck drives straight and stops good some play in steering but is easy to maintain while driving. All gauges seem to work temp gauge will stay very low and may not be accurate but truck is not running hot. Tires all good you will notice one mismatched wheel and cap on passenger side front. I did also notice the oil dipstick tube is broke dipstick still stays in place but could be replaced. Both doors lock with key. The body of the truck is straight and clean for its age does have small dents and surface rust in spots but no rust through. (see pictures) . Doors rattle when driving. Back bumper is damaged. Stereo does not have any speakers hooked up. Unknown miles on truck ODO shows 03XXX. This would make a cool shop truck or swap a V8 for the 6.
