Vehicle Detail

For sale, 1957 Chevy Bel Air 4 door Sedan. 283/Power glide. This car will run when the wiring is addressed. I was driving it to work, and around town before tearing out the old wiring. Runs/shifts smooth. Needs exhaust. This is a very solid 4 door that I began working on before buying a 1957 Chevy 3100 pickup which I am much more excited about restoring at this time. I am in the middle of that pickup project, and find myself with insufficient shop space, and a little short of funds to get the truck going so I have decided to sell this Bel Air to help fund the pickup project. Rockers door jambs, and trunk look good. Compared to many, many vehicles I have seen I am confident to say this car has "minimal rust" The front sheet metal/bumper is off the car right now as I was about to replace all the heater components (fresh air vent cables, heater core and heater control valve and all heater box seals) plus some wiring. I will show pics of the car as is now, and as it was with front sheet metal on, but the front sheet metal is off now. The car does not have suicide doors, a previous owner just reversed rear outer door handles and filled the original holes. Rear doors open from inside only. I was going to try to make rear doors functional again, and started to remove the body filler and metal but too much damage was done to the door where the door handles mount so not sure how that should be addressed. Some body work is definitely needed there, or replace rear doors all together. I know where there is a pair of nice rear doors and was going to buy them, but so far have not. Car has a broken passenger wing window, and a cracked driver door glass. All other glass is good, and windshield is brand new. The car has been upgraded with front disc brakes. The car has been lowered, and seems too low to me. Here is a list of new parts that go with the car New Under dash harness V8/auto trans. w/deluxe heater New forward lamp harness New engine harness V8 w/points New firewall, speedometer, and core support rubber grommets New speedometer gauge New turn signal switch I bought a stock 18" Steering wheel on Ebay with "Two Ten" center cap only (no horn ring) Floors are intact but weakened from rust (several spots of pinholes) I started patching with fiber cloth and POR15. Looks OK for a driver, needs carpet now. Upholstery is fair (not stock patterns or colors) and car is missing the passenger front door panel backing but the stainless trim for the door panel I do have Set of stock hub caps included. Buyer responsible for transport, and I can't do any work on the car. Car is sold as is
