Worked for Bobby Rahal in the mid 90's selling what was a "new" car companies offerings in Central Pennsylvania at the shared Toyota/Lexus dealership. It was here that I fell in love with the brand and the machines that were being produced at that time. This VVTi engine V8 4.0L was a work of art. Powerful, yet quiet. Muscular, yet fuel efficient. The ride was smooth and sporty at the same time! This wasn't a common thing back then. People had to choose between hard and soft, Lexus got the combination just right. In the days of being single/no kids, my obvious choice was the SC400 for transportation. But, life moved on and additions were made. So how do you get all the great things from the SC into a 4 door car::??:: Up for sale is the quintessential sport sedan, the 1999 Lexus GS400, silver and black, 4.0 V8 engine, Automatic (paddle shift optional)transmission, rear wheel drive, and the famed NAKAMICHI sound system. This vehicle has been splitting time as my daily driver along with a diesel pickup truck, for sale in another auction. I bought this car from our local Lexus dealer as it was traded in to them on a GS430. The car currently has 150,100 miles and will go up slightly during the auction. Power options abound with this vehicle and was surely ahead of its time: -Power tilt/telescoping steering wheel (activated at key insert)-Tilt/Slide Moonroof-Heated Front Seats-HID headlights-Amber Fog Lights-Nakamichi Sound System, incredible sound still today-6 Disc changer in Glove Box (works perfectly)-Tape deck (used for Aux cable, works perfectly)-12 way power front seat-Three transmission options (Normal/Power/Snow)-All interior lights work, no pixel issues.-Cold AC, dual passenger temperature Why buy this GS400 over others out there? The car runs and drives beautifully, as day one. With a fresh oil change this week, it needs nothing at all mechanically. Cosmetically there is some flaking of the clear coat on the rear bumper and a scratch here and there. See pics. Passenger seat doesn't move fore and aft but is in a comfortable place and all the other power options on that seat work as they should. Interior is fantastic!
