This has been an amazing automobile and actually my second volt. For those folks like me who would love to buy an electric car but suffer from range anxiety (like a did), this is the perfect car. For local driving, it has more than enough range to be electric only. For longer trips, the range extender engine kicks in (really functions like a generator to energize the Voltec drive train) and suddenly you are unlimited as to your travels. This car has achieved 105 MPG as its lifetime MPG. In addition, its as safe as they come with a five star safety rating in all categories. I could go on and on about the amazing engineering that went into this car. The folks at GM really outdid themselves. In fact, they did such a great job that I have finally broken down and bought a Tesla Model S. That's the reason that the car is up for sale (part of the deal with my wife ;-). I have been driving Volts for four years and have put over 80,000 miles on them (had a 2012 before this one). I have yet to have a single service call for anything aside from an oil change and tire rotation. It has been by far the most reliable Chevy I have ever owned. This car is in excellent condition. No wear showing anywhere on the car. No stains, tears, etc in the interior. I am the original owner. A few years ago, I was rear ended and the rear bumper had to be replaced. The tires are at about 40% of tread life. The Voltec drive train components including the battery are under warranty to 100,000 miles. Thanks for your interest.
